This reminds me of an Ann Coulter video with Julie Menin.

During the September 2008 meeting, Waters failed to mention that her husband, Mr Williams, had served on the bank's board of directors and has owned "at least $250,000 of stock in it." The article quoted one of the former Treasury officials, Jeb Mason, a former deputy asst secretary of the Treasury Dept.
Although OneUnited did not get the $50 million, it did receive $12 million from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), according to the OC Register article. (That $12million came courtesy of the efforts of-you guessed it-Barney Frank.)

Hummmm Ms Waters? You are kinda scary

Go ahead, conflate politicians with government workers. It's a good indicator of the level of deceit you're willing to embrace to make a case for (corrupt) business as usual. Because clueless members of Congress do the math on the audits, and oversee the running of health care?

Maxine is pretty stupid but the sad thing is she isn't the dumbest congressional Representative serving. I just can't believe that she keeps getting re-elected. I suppose that means her constituents don't have televisions or possibly it means her constituents share and equivalent IQ. Maxine's problem is that she thinks if she speaks it makes her seem more intelligent.

The idiot Republican senator holding up the extension of unemployment benefits because the democrats made him miss his favorite team playing basketball ranks right up there on the stupid scale. Hopefully he is one up for re-election this year and hopefully his constituents are paying attention

Bernanke also could not assure her that the increased rate would not cause global warming. What incompetence!

Oh boy, here goes Butch Schlesinger with his personal attacks on another member of Congress. This poorly written and amateurly laid out article proves you don't have to be intelligent to be the Editor-at-Large for CBS MoneyWatch.com, or the Chief Investment Officer for an independent investment advisory firm, or an options trader on the Commodities Exchange of New York.

I take it you don't have a problem with Waters' incompetence, as all you have to offer is a personal attack on the author of the article.

Leaving the article aside for a moment, can you honestly watch the video clip and not come away with the impression that (a) Congresswoman Waters is really stupid, or (b) Congresswoman Waters is incapable of understanding English, or (c) both?

That's not a personal attack - that is a reaction to her interaction with Mr. Bernanke.

Our representatives in Congress also represent the collective intelligence of the people who elect them.

Maybe if more of Waters' constituents were aware of the Federal Reserve and how the economy works, economically ignorant people like her would not be sent to Congress to represent them.

There is no IQ requirement for anyone associate with politics: Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman. . . total idiots.

Please offer your evidence for calling these two women "total idiots". At least we have video evidence of Congresswoman Waters' inability to understand a fairly simple concept in the attached video.
