- federal employees are paid a fraction of what their private sector counterparts make. [No, about 2/3 , but they more than make up for that in JobSecurity Regardless of Merit and Government Benefits...pension, healthcare, etc] in return one of the benefits of serving the public is job security. job security for looking out for you all [??!huh?]rather than stealing from you all like the public sector does. wake up please.
Methinks you forget who pays for your services, and we PAY DEARLY for your not always competent services. - Reply to this comment

- I also own a small business and not only have my taxes NOT BEEN CUT, I have been told that they are going to increase!
Some of these obamabots are clueless and sit around their trailers and section 8 housing typing the lies that they have been brainwashed into believing. Of course, because NONE of these posters actually work for a living, they wouldn't know what the truth is regarding the tax situation. - Reply to this comment

"You know the stimulus last year? Dollar for dollar the tax cut was essentially worthless in creating economic activity.........and people like you think that handing out a bigger tax cut would get people spending?"
This piece was originally published in The Washington Times on August 23, 2006.
Many in the Washington establishment were shocked Aug. 17, when the Congressional Budget Office reported a surge of "unanticipated tax receipts" that will sharply push down this year's deficit. Those who had been proclaiming the Bush tax rate cuts would result in a big reduction in tax revenues tried to hide their disappointment. It was tough being proved wrong again after having said the same thing when Ronald Reagan cut tax rates in the early 1980s.
We have now had three major experiments with tax rate reduction in the last half-century, and each time both economic growth and tax revenues have surged, despite the fears and cries of the anti-tax-cut crowd. How much more evidence will they need to understand the difference between tax rates and tax revenues? Most everyone, including most members of Congress, can understand that properly structured tax rate reduction, by decreasing the impediments to working, saving and investing, will lead to a higher rate of economic growth. Why then is it so difficult to understand that a bigger economic pie can lead to more tax revenue rather than less? - Reply to this comment

- What an idiot!!!!
Obama has already CUT TAXES for small and medium businesses, and he's attempting to fix the woefully broken credit markets, all while fighting the republicans every inch of the way!!!!
Is there ANY chance tht you could watch the ACTUAL news, instead of the Fox / GOP propaganda channel?
And CBS< ABC AND NBC owned by GE, who is in bed witn current administration and looking to cash in on all those Green projects ( since share s dropped to it's lowest since Imelt took over) ARE actual news???
WEll, your mom should have had an abortion rather than giving birth to an IDIOT!!! - Reply to this comment
- Clinton only reduced the size of the government by reducing the size of the Military and as you can see by BHO's $17B cut he plans on doing the same. We will no longer have a srong Military to protect our way of life. Our culture is based on the old Europe but BHO wants us to morph into another New Europe which is far from an effective Democracy. The sooner he can be impeached the better.

- i work for the federal government as an attorney. i could get paid 3-4 times the salary i receive if i worked on the outside. in my own capacity i have saved the government billions of dollars. vastly more than i will ever collect from my tiny government salary. federal employees are paid a fraction of what their private sector counterparts make. in return one of the benefits of serving the public is job security. job security for looking out for you all rather than stealing from you all like the public sector does. wake up please.

- Dear Chairman Maobama,
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you still serve at the pleasure of the American people, not the other way around. We are still waiting to review your vault birth certificate, college transcripts, passports and medical records. Who are you? What are you hiding?
Sincerely,
A Natural Born Citizen - Reply to this comment
- Is this the change you angry, bitter miscreants voted for? Well heck, why don't we just make everybody a local, state or federal worker? Oh wait, that's right, we still need somebody to generate real cash revenue to pay all the government workers. Gee, do you think most of the new hires will vote Democratic in order to protect their jobs? Enlarging the already bloated government payroll combined with massive ACORN voter fraud should ensure one party rule for years to come. Welcome to the New People's Republic of Amerika, comrades!

- Google "The 45 Stated Communist Goals" and read the list. It's right out of the Democrat (Communists in drag) playbook and has been part of their agenda since the mid 1960s.
Next, Google "The Sworn Affidavit of Bishop Ron McRae" as part of PA attorney, Philip Berg's lawsuit challenging Barack Hussein Obama's US citizenship.
Then, if you are a Democrat, I suggest you take a long hard look in a mirror and ask yourself just WHO you are and WHAT you stand for...because it certainly isn't America. - Reply to this comment

- Hey wake up and think about this! Even though jobs are few and far between, why would you want to consider working in Wash DC, the crime, drugs, n guns alter-ego
capital of the US? Even if you got a govt job, the wages won't even come close to what it costs to actually live there and provide a liveable income. The local district govt plus the US Congress can't and won't agree on any common policies, the district is totally dependent on Congress for its lifelines, management, and support. There will never (at least in a current lifetime) be any semblance of cooperation between them to actually treat the district as a for-real city. DC politics is exactly what you don't want running your life. Why do you think few of the contractor, or other govt employees, including Congress actually live there? Govt jobs are valued, but not too well in Washington. - Reply to this comment
