- I am an ex democrat who grew up in the Bronx, I live in Montana now. I was glad to see the large turnout in the Big Apple.
It was disappointing how libs mocked the protesters and actually used a crude term called tea bagg&&g.
I am not rich by any means. i am not happy with the direction that harry reid, pelosi, biden and obama wanna take our country.

- I really cannot believe the absolute stupidity of the right wing nuts. To be teabagging in public. They have been wrong about EVERYTHING and now they want to complain about taxes on the rich that benefit them. I saw smarter cows on my last trip.

- I am sorry some republicans tried to deny they are actually the greatest borrower and spender our country has ever known. This kind of tea parties should have been done years ago when our nation under Pres. Reagan (R) first started our irresponsible borrowing and spending. Only Pres. Clinton(D) was able to reduce our budget deficit on the very first year he took office. He was able to balance our budget, paid off some of the debt Pres. Reagan and 1st. Bush(R) created and accumulated a huge budget surplus in his second term. Unfortunately that huge surplus disappeared in no time after Pres. 2nd. Bush(R) took office and we restarted our borrowing and spending spree. A responsible government must spend to stimulate economy in bad economic days and save in good economic days. Now its time to spend. But we are broke, we don't have any saving so we have to borrow. I hope Pres. Obama will turn our economy around and start saving for rainy days. It is only fair for us to let this new president a chance after so many failures under many republican presidents.

- Jules, I know!! And I am indeed sorry. As a matter of fact, I have stayed away from them here ,as I believe that we can all discuss this as adults and reason together.
It isnt possible with Hungry. It really isnt. This has been going on for weeks with him. He really does not have a clue.
Not that him disagreeing with me means he doesnt have a clue. No. He cant even comprehend what people say. He keeps coming back with his silly nonsense. Which is why it is best if I (and othes) just bow out of any conversation with him.
We just get dumber due to the exercise.

This from the guy that thinks congress has no "constitutional authority", doesn't create "administrative laws", can't create legislation, can't create departments, and thinks the Department of Defense, Air Force, and Coast Guard are "unconstitutional".
And thinks MY comprehension of the constitution is questionable.

You are upset with Hungry only because he sees our country in TRUE and beautiful way. You just can't understand why he can't see your side, well you just have to read more and really find out it is not as you see it THANK GOD. We know it is not perfect 8 yrs of H@#ll will take a miracle to get her back. So I suggest you stop tearing down and find a way to build her up again, you have to admit we were left with a terrible mess,and we have to pull together do any of your beliefs see that? - Reply to this comment

Massive government spending programs WORKED to bring us out of the depression ( World War 2 required huge, 2 Trillion dollars, spending). It is true that the US fell back into recession in 1938 due to a drop in spending

- You know what makes me even more upset, these conservatives do there dirty tricks behind closed doors as to not perceive there inclusion, it is all the people who are finally seeing this. Garbage, the right wing of the republican party are bent on having their POWER back and the media is helping them. They say they have to report the news, what is news about this. This is nothing less than to put their beliefs upon us. They have had their way for 8 yrs and do not like we are not paying attention to them, and are BENT on destroying all of our values. In reading some of the comments on this forum I am so glad the real people of this country see right through them. Ignorance and Hate has no place in our country any more. The Hannity's, Limbaugh's and their followers have no place in this country, that Governor in Texas that wants to succeed from this country is just a form of Treason and have no right to freedom of speech to do harm to this beautiful country. If you do not like it here get the H#%ll out is what I say. You never had it so good,get out and find out .

- If the fore fathers seen Obamas new budget proposal they would be out protesting to, and if you had any since at all you would join them. We will not have enough GNP in four years to pay the interest on the loans he is taking out. You think it is bad now, just wait awhile. Yes this money throwing will help in the short term but the bills will come due. Only one way to pay, raise taxes on everything he can get his hands on. That is the only way.
