Can Private Insurance Companies Compete With A Public Plan?
- Hi Jon,
I liked your piece. I think going to the store and listening to her suggestions was good. It was tantalizing. You gave some helpful tips, i.e. find out what is really going on so you can be straight with each other if avoiding intimacy. If you do another in this series I would love to see you explore a few different ideas. For example, the NYT did a magazine article recently looking at what sex researchers are finding out about the connection between women's arousal and desire. Men's brains seem to have them connected and women's do not. The following week the article appeared several other sex researchers wrote in and their comments about different theories of women's sexuality were fascinating. Another area that I find interesting in the studies about people's sexuality and DNA that appeared in The New Yorker during the Olympics. This article talked about transgender athletes competing in the Olympics. What the rules were, gave a few examples, and also made the argument that gender is not so clear cut for people. What I found fascinating was the fact that human sexuality is far more complex than originally thought. It is not black and white there is a lot of gray. So getting some of these ideas out to the public serve to let people know what science has found and what research is looking into now. This may be too academic to be on your segment. Albeit I always like to see cutting edge thinking presented to the public. It would answer the innovative part an you could ask people to tell their own stories regarding the subjects presented. Thank you for educating us. Warm regards, S.O., Ph.D. - Reply to this comment
