Alas, the triumphant Dems had only a 2-vote Senate majority, allowing the barely-Minority Repugs to use the Filibuster a Record 112 Times from Jan. '07-Jan. '09, obstructing any Demo legislative efforts.
The Repug Filibuster-power got whittled down in the 2008 elections, but the Repugs are still in Obstruction-mode.
I'm Already campaigning for more Demo -seats to be added in the 2010 Midterms, rendering the Senate Repugs Impotent.

I guess you forgot Pelosi announcing in January 2007 that :"There's a new sheriff in town". With that statement she officially took responsibility for everything that has happened since then.....the dismal stock market, the skyrocketing unemployment and federal debt, the anemic economy, the faltering basic industries, the expanding wars. That all happened in the time that the Dems and their leader Obama have been in total control.
