With out profit, you could not have workers to pay wages to. When profits go down so do workers.

Freeing up Stem cell research is a great start. Now we have to pass legislation to Tax Religions as a business which is what they are in reality. Leave the actual church building tax free but everything else is fair game.

Science not ideology? To bad he doesn't take the same attitude with Climate Change by listening to all sides of the argument instead of ostracizing people who may think differnetly from Al Gore.

Global warming has turned into a religion and if you speak question it, you are thought of as a Heretic.

Not a Religion just a reality.

And no credible science exists to refute it.

So that just leaves the Dito Heads denying it.

If the new president thinks that by making it easier for the unscrupulous researchers to play Dr. Frankenstein and not try to circumvent the intent of the lifting of this ban and not try and clone humans, he's a bit naive.

godsnliberals: it's interesting that you speak of "fear of religion" rather than "fear of god".

God will not be mocked much longer.

Quickly, being a fictional being, how will "god" know when he/she/it is being mocked?

AMEN. Our tax dollars shouldn't fund this type of controversial experiments. The only type of stem cell research should only be obtained from umbilical cords not from embryos at any stage in the pursuit of scientific research.

"Ten years of research with embryonic stem cells has produced not one success. Ten years of work with adult stem cells has produced successful trials in treating Parkinson's disease, ..."

George Bush commanded that embryonic stem cell research funding be cut off.

That's what this article is about.

So we are being forced to fund this type of research whether we support it it or not?

Thank goodness.

We can finally use uncontaminated and wide ranging stem cell lines once again to further research into human malady and suffering.

It is sad that Christopher and Dana did not at least live to see this day.

Another reminder that when reality and ideology clash, reality always wins.

No matter how despicable it may be.
