The IRS has never been an organization to worry about the legality of taxation. It would be my bet that the IRS can craft a new rule taxing any bonus of any company that received federal bailout money to the maximum. Maybe AIG's cohorts in crime can apply pressure to save their own bonuses that would be swept up by the IRS. Too Bad.

The bailout of AIG is not over. Not by a long shot. They have trillions in outstanding credit default swaps and as more and more debt defaults, their liabilities will continue mounting. They'll be back for more and more and more and more.

Will Americans rise up and revolt? Of course not. The country will go bankrupt and the dollar will collapse before that happens. By then it will be too late.

Amazing that it's the Credit Default Swaps department that is getting most of these bonuses. Credit Default Swaps is what's doing in AIG, JP Morgan, Citibank, Bank of America, GE, GMAC, etc.....

You people blaming AIG need to focus your anger at your own government, mainly all the Democrats and 3 Republicans who voted for the bailout and your President who signed it. They knew of the bonuses months ago. They're all posing in front of the cameras feining outrage and playing you all for fools for a mess they created. Wake up and smell the roses, read the real news, and not fall for he soundbites on the inadequate news reporting.

How do you get hired by AIG. Where else do you go to work and then run that company right into the dirt and then get rewarded for it. It just totally makes no sense.

Seantor Dodd - A Short History

Senator Dodd received more donations from AIG than anyone else in 2008.
Senator Dodd introduced tax exemptions for AIG bonuses in the stimulus bill.
Senator Dodd - today- wants to tax AIG bonuses.
Senator Dodd is caught -- again.
Senator Dodd should leave the Senate.
If not,
Senator Dodd should be impeached.
