For you out there disappointed with President Obama's decision not to prosecute waterboarding techniques, don't be. He is doing the right thing. The CIA operative were acting on the guideance of the Bush administration. To get the CIA operatives, you would have to go against those whose authorized the torture and we all know who those people are. The current administration would have to prosecute Bush, Cheney, Gonzalez and all the Bush cronies. The new administration has done the right thing already. They put a stop to the water torture and from now on if someone continues to use waterboarding, then they will be prosecuted. Just remember who got us into this mess, it was Bush & Cheney.

Why would you dump on the CIA when they had the permission of the White House and the Justice Department? Unless they are willing to lock up Bush and Cheney and try them with a sentence of a potential death penalty, you really have to let this go. The wrong-doing has already been acknowledged. Apologize and and pay restitution to anyone who was waterboarded and found innocent. I'm not happy about this, but we have to move on.

Its not torture, just a harsh method.

You're right! Real torture would be getting a lap dance from Rosie O'Donnell. (Close you eyes & visualize that experience)

So the justice department is no longer an independent entity. Now it's a political strong arm...

I didn't know it was legal for a prosecutor to know of a crime and not prosecute it. This makes them Judge Jury & Executioner all in one.

To me, thats too much power for one person to have. It should be manditory to prosecute for a crime and not ignore the fact a crime was committed.

Sad, yes. Our American way is founded on Justice, and it's not going to happen in this case.

I guess it's Obama's way of pardoning boosh/cheney Constitution wreckers.

So what is worse:
A criminal that commits crimes or a cop that ignores criminal activity & does nothing to stop it even though they know it's their job.
