Looks like the CONServatoids are having quite a hard time in exile, and cannot accept the fact that Obama won by 10 million votes and a 2 to 1 electoral landslide. There are 67% of the American people optimistic with Obama and his stimulus plan to bring us out of the bush/cheney depresion, but still the knuckledraggers of the republiCON party continue to spew the usual venom in their anti-American way!

You missed my point, nothing is wrong with any of those.....the point was that the pork projects went directly to the leader''''s states/cities Pelosi and Reid....how convenient they used our tax money to buy re-election votes by making sure the money went their way, instead of where it was needed.

Where were you when the Republicans built the backup passport processing center in a Hurricane zone? OR when the Republicans allowed passport printing of blank passports overseas by executive fiat? Likewise for the relocation of the research facility for toxic agricultural agents into the agricultural belts? These abuses have significantly more serious outcomes than the building of a train to improve energy efficiency.

Then Treasury Secretary John Snow wrote "the repatriation provision would not produce any substantial economic benefits." What does this mean?
It means that companies will use the funds to pay down debt and INVEST IN THEIR OVERSEAS OPERATIONS.
In fact, under the 2004 corporate tax bill Johnson and Johnson received $14.8 BILLION in tax cuts; Hewlett-Packard got $14.4. Billion; Bristol-Meyers got $12.6 Billion; Schering-Plough got $11.1 Billions; Eli Lilly got $9.5 Billion and Altria got $8.6 Billion (and it''''''''''''''''s out of business). Where did the money go? OVERSEAS TO CREATE JOBS, INVEST IN NEW FACILITIES, and PAYING DOWN DEBT ALL WHILE FIRING AMERICAN WORKERS.

Its all about PROFIT AT ANY COST...including your own citizens. IF tax cuts did not create American jobs under BUSH why would they work now?
