As disgusting as Romney's birth certificate crack was ...

Barack's making it worse - I'm so tired of these two ... but am tired of Barack more, since we've had him for 4 years - time for somebody new. He just seems so desperate ...

Vote for Gary Johnson. He won't win but you'll feel better for not wasting your vote on the Dem/Rep scam.

You can't wish this away, or scream "context," or "a little humor." Romney would never have made this remark if it had been any other candidate. He is questioning Obama's right to serve, and that right has been proven over and over. Shame on Mr. Romney.

Ray. The comment wasn't funny to anyone but Romney. It wasn't all that offensive. Just a stupid attempt at nothingness.

If you did actually find it funny, you must be mentallly impaired.

I would have also found it funny if Obama had said "No one ever wonders if my underwear are magic". And I'm Mormon. It was a joke at the ridiculous nature of what some people will claim these days. No more, no less.

netjunkie1 - "Obama is as American as apple pie".
Except he's a SOCIALIST who despises capitalism and anyone who has achieved the American Dream.

----- cut here -----

Conservative propaganda, 100% fact free. Obama isn't a socialist, which you would understand if you understood English. Obama doesn't despise capitalism in ANY way, and he certainly doesn't despise people that have achieved the American Dream - JUST LIKE HIMSELF.

It's all fun and games on the Dem/Rep plantation. They don't even pretend to be our employees anymore. They are our rulers. We've gotten so into the high school football aspect that we feel we've accomplished something by electing either party. They've been screwing America for generations and we throw ourselves on the tracks to worship the stupid train.

----- cut here -----

Nice use of metaphor and succinctly put. While the two parties wage a slash and burn all-out war of destruction against their opposites, they distract the voters from the fact that both sides have long since sold out.

The only difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party in real terms is that the Democrats want to keep the masses satisfied enough they don't revolt, and the Republicans want to make sure the army is big enough to take down the revolt.

In this election we have to choose between two evils (again) and pick the lesser, but we HAVE to change course and the change has to come from OUTSIDE the two party system because it will never happen from within.

RTC - Thanks. I wish it wasn't true.

After years of thought I believe that the core problem is campaign finance - as long as poliicians are bought and paid for, we will never get representative government. Of course even if we DO fix that, there are still radically deep divides between different points of view, so the SECOND most important fix is to change the law so that it is illegal to lie to your customers (as a company) and it is illgel to lie to yur constituants (if you ar a politician). But to pass the law requires representative government, so back to problem #1 -)

I wish it weren't true as well Arth.
As for campaign finance goes I'm not sure anyone even pays attention anymore. It's all find the D or the R. But it is true that "electability" means more that policy. Packaging beats content. I'm an optomist for my immediate surroundings, but a dire pessimist for our country. I hope I live long enough to admit I was totally wrong about the way America is going.

But arthanyel, we do have representative government. It's just that Entities (not necessarily people) are represented in direct proportion to how much money they have. The Supreme Court made that clear.

I can not think of anything that Mitt Robme has not changed his mind about IE flip flopped on or shown hypocrisy to an extreme never seen before. Being a Birther is just the latest attempt to shore up the Rethug-Bagger base which is all you Red-Staters have now. I know these folks they will vote for Mitt & hold their noses because the Fox-Rush-Koch axis have totally convinced them our President is any number crazy things all of them baseless.

However come November BHO the 44th president of the United States will beat Mitt Robme, the known tax evader & now known racist, in the Electoral Collage by 30-40 votes. BHO will do this same old way, educated people know a con artist when they see one, and Blacks and Latinos know racism.

Come on folks, it was just a joke. Sort of like if Obama would say something like, "Romney's tax plan is so foreign to us real Americans, it makes me wonder what planet he comes from...Kabob?"

Or if he coined Romney's plan as "magic underwear" economics?

Wouldn't that be funny too?

More appropriately, Obama is the "Job Destroyer-in-Chief".
U.S. debt just broke the $16 TRILLION mark, one week after S&P became the second rating agency to downgrade U.S. Treasury debt.
That is over 100% of GDP! Our debt per capita is higher than Greece or Spain! This is an ENORMOUS problem, yet where's the outrage?

Obama promised not to bury our children under a mountain of debt.
HE LIED! And he has no plan, nor even a clue, on how to stop this disaster-in-progress.

This is clear evidence that Obama is destroying this country, and the Liberals don't give a damn...then blame big-business for their joblessness. Obama is not our Messiah, he is our Pied Piper.

Conservative propaganda. 13T of the 16T debt was created by Republicans, locked into place by Republcians, and Obama took office in the middle of the second worst economic downturn in the HISTORY OF AMERICA with a FIXED deficit of $1.1T, and he managed to totally turn it around, get GDP growth back, revoer trillions in lost retirement savings, save the American auto industry, and in the process only spent a little less than $1T of the $16T. That's the LEAST COSTLY turnaround in history in constant dollars as well.

Stop spewing propaganda and get the facts.

The President prevented a depression which will come to be if Romney takes the white house.
I've already started plans to move out of the country, the day should come Romney is elected, action will commence. Early retirement for me, since the plans of Romney and Ryan will cause harm to the people of the nation.
People make no mistake the nation is under attack. The GOP are the tools, the dems are the fools letting them be.

We are under attack by Wall St. Corporations with plans on world domination. This is endgame for a conspiracy that began in 1933-34 when plans to take over America then went awry.
I invite all of you to research the "Business Coup" or also called the "White House Coup". I never knew of it in my history class...I suspect it was kept out because of the powers that be want any information stopped. Typical of Republican attempts at rewriting history and literature.
I found video in Youtube, Google, and Wiki...use whatever method of research you want..facts are facts....I find it astonishing how far fascism has gone from then to today...Starting with Prescott Bush, known for being Hitler's American financial backer, DuPont, GE, GM, Morgan, US Steel, and other Wall St. giants then now multinational.
Since then we've had 2 Bush's in office doing unknown amounts of damage to our constitution and treasury.

What is clear is the republicans have damaged the nation and continue to call the kettle black.
