Hey, GreedyOldPartee, would you mind re-phrasing that last sentence for us readers?

A leader should get into office because of his good ideologies and his visions in knowledge, and understanding, and wisdom, not because ridiculous sums of money has put him there.
People are hungry and loosing their homes and this is how politics spends money?
We live in a sick, gravely ill society being run by the the rich and powerful and their ill-gotten, fraudulent wealth in which a $25,000 per hour CEO tells a graduate engineer that he is not worth paying $25 per hour. Sick.

Who gives a rat's ass how much money he raised? I don't understand why it's an issue?

"Americans are clearly looking for a change in the White House."

Just because he's gotten more money, it doesn't mean he's got more Americans on his side. It could mean that a FEW people put out BIG BUCKS.

I've never been able to understand why the money raised is such a big deal. In America, that's all you hear is how rich they are and how much money they raise. Where I live, you don't even hear anything about the money raised or how much money they have. Like who freaking cares?? You should be concentrating on whether or not the person is CAPABLE of running your country!

It's different ball game this election compared to 2008 when Barry out raised McCain by tens of millions.
With his pathetic record and the economy slipping deeper towards a double dip recession and the lack of contributions, Obama will be looking to see if his community organizer job is still open in Jan 2013.

You know I see more support for Romney then what the polls support. Given the fact unemployment is at 8% and U6 report indicates real unemployment at 15% or worse (California is at 20%). I think many voters will find it hard to ignore Obama's record come election day. They may say a lot of things in polls. But it will weigh on a lot of people to go ahead and vote in someone with the record Obama has. Let's be honest though. It does not matter if your a Liberal or Conservative. The election results will still show a very decided Country on what direction it should take.

Agree, and the choice is this:
Believe in the power of free-enterprise or villify it as evil and unfair.
Follow the American Dream or the failed model of European welfare states.
We can see clearly the economic consequences of Obama's agenda to "spread the wealth around": Decimation of wealth for all.

Dems are after the wrong people. Instead of the top 1% they should be after the bottom 51%. How would you like it if you worked your butt off to buy a nice house for your family and someone came along and said another family doesn't have a house like that so you will have to give them half of yours to live in. There are so many sucking the country dry that are not even trying to work. Now they have lowered the requirements to qualify for benefits so much that it is a joke. These people on public assistance should be required to work to pick up trash or whatever instead of laying on their butts and drawing OUR money each month. The top 1% do pay taxes while the 51% parasites take our money, do nothing for it, and pay no taxes. It you are going to correct our situation go after the right people. I realize some need our help but if you want to stop fraud you should start with the Obama assistance program. He is giving out OUR money as Obama money and bleeding us dry. Bankrupt his "Stash".

This comment reminds me of the Paterno family: oh we've been working so hard earning these football victories, now the NCAA just took it away. What they conveniently ignored is that Paterno sold his soul to Satan to earn those victories.

Because of the uncertainty about the tax increase proposed by Obama, and the possible "fiscal cliff" and across-the-board tax hikes, businesses are cancelling investment and hiring plans (reported by the NY Times). This is notable because Obama's insistence on increasing taxes on income over $250,000 is contributing to a further economic slowdown, thus undermining his re-election hopes. Ironic! More proof he simply doesn't understand business and economics.

The republicons have changed the US consumers-based economy to job-creators-based economy. I'm trying to find a successful job-creators-based economy any where else in the world at any time in history, but i couldn't find one. Any body else know? Any republicon knows?

Since you brought it up, Lesserof2, consumer spending has also declined lately. No matter which direction you cut the numbers, this administration's economic policies have failed. Poverty has continued to increase under Obama. Since wealth can only be created by the private sector, just how do you propose to help the working class while discourageing free-enterprise? Demand can't be created without a healthy system of free-enterprise to put money in everyone's pockets first. (That is unless you are proposing a massive government welfare-state).

Your argument is full of holes. Those making over $250,000 have had the lowest taxes in their history, so where are the jobs? Where are the jobs

The answer is very simple: Support and encourage free-enterprise, (rather than the opposite, as Obama has done with such dire consequences)
