We already know about the $77,000 tax credit for the horse and the investments in the 'friendly countries' such as China and Russia. What else can he not want out? A uniform credit for dressing up as a State Trooper to scare the girls?
That write off for the horse really annoys me. Since the IRS allowed it, it's legal but it shows that the rich get all sorts of tax goodies that aren't available to us "common folk". It's a real stretch when a horse being trained for the Olympics becomes a "medical expense".
Since ordinary middle class Americans cannot buy their own lobbyists like willard roMONEY, in order to write the tax code that benefits the oligarchic plutocracy, we really need a complete revamping of both the individual and corporate tax code, getting rid of all the deductions, tax loopholes and tax havens that benefit only the wealthy in America!
When talking about the IRS and "legality" you have to separate two concepts. First, from the IRS point of view, if the income is fully reported and each deduction is allowed by the tax code and the regulations under it, it is legal. Second, the IRS does not care one whit if the activity from which the income is derived is legal. A person can put down that they got their money from selling drugs or themselves or committing insurance fraud. The IRS does not care and does not tell. Remember, they only got Al Capone for not reporting his income to the IRS.
We already knew that, and now willard roMONEY expects us to swallow the biggest LIE of all -- "mitt romney pays 'a lot of taxes' every year, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee told reporters Friday". LOL!
It must be part of that CULT THING, where willard buys into joseph smith and his golden plates translated from some obscure alien dialect, but nobody else ever saw the golden plates -- pure faith!
theshark: "arthanyel, Romney not the reason you are a failure in life".
===== arthanyel: "theshark82: I am hardly a 'failure in life'. I am not as rich as Romney, but my bill rate is $465 an hour :-)" =====
LOL! Funny how the rabid right seems to use the same old cliches like "government dependent" or "failure in life" as personal attacks when they have completely lost the argument, and then can only disrupt or divert each and every thread away from the discussion!
It makes them feel better to parrot what Rush says. Besides that if they want Obama to show them all the stuff they want, Romney would need to show HIS tax returns, birth certificate and college trhanscripts for them to have a valid request. LOL
yep! The other thing they do, on a nearly daily basis, is use the "deflection" and "distraction" mantra. Everything that makes them uncomfy or points out wrongdoing or is negative against them is a "distraction", as IF nothing is permissible to talk about except what they say is permissible. When they start screaming deflection (in the article) or distraction, you know your truth has hit a nerve =)
The new parlor game for political junkies has become 'Guess the Contents of mitt romney's Tax Returns'.
Joshua Green of Bloomberg Businessweek is one of the more-recent entrants to the field with his theory, culled from a dinner with private equity execs, that romney paid no taxes in 2009. Green posits that romney probably suffered major losses when the stock market took a nosedive in 2008. "And it's possible he suffered a large enough capital loss that, carried forward and coupled with his various offshore tax havens, he wound up paying no U.S. federal taxes at all in 2009," Green writes, equating that scenario to political death.
Problem is, the rabid right-wing doesn't see that "political death" quite yet, and will continue screeching and disrupting the thread!
theshark: "you have an unhealthy obsession...you really need help".
No, the "birthers, baggers and buffoons" are the ones with the unhealthy obsession, since President Obama was clearly vetted in 2008.
Problem with you and your ilk, is that you are trying to deny a proper vetting of the GOP candidate in 2012, since questions have arisen about exactly when willard left bain capital outsourcing, and exactly what his tax rate has been during the past decade, with tens of millions in income!
Releasing his tax returns back to his days at bain capital outsourcing would put those questions to rest.
Another thing.....while he keeps refusing to "show us the MONEY," with his past 10 years of tax returns, he isn't even producing his 2011 tax returns until just before the 2012 election!
this guy has been running for president ever since he was governor of MA for an annual salary of $1.....did he not think at some point he would need to release his tax returns???? very poor planning
theshark: "thus why you need government help now".
Pure conjecture and speculation -- typical of the right wing that only has a need to disrupt and divert every thread here at CBS, by making personal attacks on other posters! LOL!

PUT UP OR SHUT UP willard.........papers please!

Just what is willard hiding from the American people?
Why is that?
And, what would stop him from even doing that?

PUT UP OR SHUT UP, willard!
Because this is DEMOCRACY in action, vetting a presidential candidate!
