I think you are trying to build your house on a foundation of sand.

First, polls this far from November are rarely significant.

Second, building you case on one poll, your CBS sponsored poll is dubious. RCP has a much better approach, averaging relevant polls together. They were exactly, to the tenth of a percent, right on the percentages after the election in 2008. I don't know how true that is going to be this year, I'm not at all sure about all the robo-sampling upstarts RCP is including, but I guess we'll see.

Third, all news outlets have a vested interest is continously reiterating "it's a squeaker," more viewers tune in, more papers get sold, or more pageviews are done.

Republicans in both Houses blocked the DISCLOSE Act. After claiming they favored transparency that would reveal donors to super PACs created in the wake of the Supreme Court's shameful Citizens United decision, the GOP blocked all legislation that would provide that very transparency.

This article is very tilted toward Obama positively.

The truth is you are a sitting president who has spent 10' of millions against your opponent and you are not above 50%. This translates into bad news for Obama.

It is a referendum on his Presidency of course, duh?

It's not complicated. If your wealthy you will benefit from a republican and if your working class you will benefit from a democrat. It's always been that way and always will. Do your homework.

The House GOP has voted no fewer than 32 times, according to ABC News, to repeal, defund or dismantle the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Few people really want repeal except the insurance companies now forced to refund money they overcharged customers. The same insurance companies are big Republican donors.
