They still have to get to 280 a lead means nothing.

Again tell me how you win with only 47% support?

Show me any national poll where Obama gets over 47-48%
------------------------------------
show me an election where twice that percentage of registered voters turned out

OK, this is it in a nutshell. The President of the United States has to be an individual who has demonstrated the ability to make sound decisions at a moment's notice.

Mr. Romney, a likeable and respectable Mormon who is known to be quite wealthy, and has hidden bank accounts and "blind" trusts that enable him to pay a 15% tax rate, made the decision to stand at a podium (sharply clad in a suit), to address a predominantly Black and most likely Baptist crowd, where the unemployment rate is said to be 14 plus percent. This is audience that already feels overworked and underpaid likely with many uninsured, and Mr. Romney tries to get THIS crowd pumped into a frenzy by ranting that "If I am elected President of the United States, the first thing I am gonna do is to REPEAL Obamacare?" (Not exactly the kind of decision making capability I was thinking about)

This is the stuff that comedy skits are made of. Can you imagine any Presidential candidate at a podium addressing a large assembly of NRA members and loudly exclaiming, "If I am elected President of the United States, the first thing I am going to do is to REPEAL the right to bear arms!"....or

standing at a podium addressing a large assembly of Catholics and announcing "If I am elected President of the United States, the first thing I am going to do is to have birth control pill dispensing machines placed in every restroom in America as well as all public school facilities!"........or

standing at a podium addressing a large assembly of Union Representatives and announcing "If I am elected President of the United States, the first thing I am going to put an end to this contract negotiations mess to enable us to fix our deficit and fix it quick!"

ok. Just a little fun. I applaud Mr. Romney for his attendance at this event.

jgg000010,

This President has had the courage to deliver an annual televised State of the Union Address in front of a room of known to be critics as well as hold press conferences when surrounded by adversaries. Similar circumstances.

15% is the normal tax rate on Capital Gains. Valerie Jarret, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and many others decrying Romney's investments outside of the U.S. do the same things themselves.

Obamacare has already had a negative impact on many families with skyrocketing prices and business owners who employ them unable to
bear the cost.

Few, if any, of the Obamacare provisions have yet to take effect. How could Obamacare "already had a negative impact on many families with skyrocketing prices and business owners who employ them unable to bear the cost."? A negative effect on something that isn't even yet happened?

Sounds like the right is getting their excuses set up beforehand on how they are going to make Obamacare fail.

The president has shown great courage in sticking to a program that could be politically damaging, as well as taking foreign policy chances like the Osama raid that, if failed, could have sunk his presidency (remember Desert 1?).

Its beyond me how even the haters could try to fly that "Obama is a coward" balloon. He's been anything but.

And he didn't see it coming? Sometimes we have to wonder about the intelligence of this candidate. You insult women, dedicate your life to a racist cult, reject middle class benefits such as health care and student loans, but pander to the rich and powerful. But he wants their vote so he has the audacity to go and insult the members of these offended groups in person? It's beyond condescending to go and lie to them about his "good" intentions and expect them to believe him. I think they were too nice, he deserved to be tarred and feathered.

It wasn't that long ago the official view of the mormon church on Afro Americans was one of inferiority. the law and public opinion made them change their policy but probably not their attitude.

thanks for confirming my point by changing the subject

the key word is "known"
I am willing to bet there are plenty out there in the states that are willing purge thousands bonafide voters in the name of catching a handful of frauds

Senator Byrd renounced his past and had been praised by the NAACP for his voting record since.

Meanwhile, David Duke (NOT renouncing anything) ran under what party? Yep, GOP.

Romney did not want the government to bail-out General Motors. He called Obama a communist. Now GM is alive and competitive. Obama saved more than 1.5 Million jobs.

Romney has no foresight. Romney can't understand this because, this is the opposite of what Bain Capital does.

Why don't you tell the whole story about GM, how the perferred stock holders got pennies on the dollar during Obama's forced takeover, or the thousands of retired folks who worked for GM and companies they owned, had their pension slashed by 40% and their insurance benefits cut to nothing. A controlled bankrupcy like the one Romney suggested like in the airlines would have protected preferred shareholder(regular folks who have IRA;s) and the retired folks. Sad this story isn't reported on by the mainstream media.

GM did in fact sell in China, 18 million cars but none were built by Americans. So calling Obama a commie is a false accusation...GM paid it's loan off, and they have raked in the bucks...again though, what has the American worker profited?

The taxpayer lost 26 billion on the UAW bailout because of the extremely unusual and favorable terms the union got becoming equity holders. If they hadn't the taxpayer would have made 3 billion. SO Obama stole the taxpayer money to bailout his union friends. Bain makes money using their own and investors money. They don't steal from taxpayers to support their friends as the executives of Solyandra, Fisker, First SOlar, About SOlar, all money losers.

The taxpayer lost 26 billion due to treating the UAW much more favorably than any bankruptcy court would normally by making them a creditor. This was because the UAW was Obama backers and it was payback, very similarly like the taxpayer loans to Fisker, First SOlar, Solyandra and a few others whose executives were supporters of Obama. Most of that money was lost. Stealing the taxpayer money to give to your supporters is just crony capitalism.

Bain Capital's business model is to acquire struggling companies with good assets. Load it with debt, sell off it's fixed assets, sell of property rights, sell of anything of value. get the quick buck. File for chapter 13. Nevermind the employes. Yet he runs under the platform of Jobs.

Romney the high school bully, vulture capitalist, outsourcer-in-chief would do and say anything to win.

Funny then how Staples, Home Depot, and WHole Foods are still in business. Nice try on trashing Romney. Do you think President ROmney would be outsourcing jobs while also wanting a second term? Obama supporters can't just tell the truth.
