Any of you Obama haters have a pre existing condition? Health care providers denies coverage to people with a pre existing condition. How about an adult child younger than 26 unable to get their own health coverage? Any of you at the limits of your health coverage therefore elgible to be dropped by your health care provider?

President Obama's affordable care act fixes those things and others. What are republicans offering in its place? Not a damn thing that helps average Americans.

Our predictions about the Obamacare con-game
By Perry Willis and Jim Babka, Co-founders, Downsize DC
(886 words)
Quote of the Day:
"If elections changed anything they would be illegal."
-- Emma Goldman
In this message:
• Will the election strategy end Obamacare?
• How the House Republicans could stop Obamacare immediately, and why they won't.
• How Romney and the Republicans are manipulating voters.
• How Americans have been conned before, and will be conned again.
• The real problem we must solve.
• What the Deny Consent strategy will LOOK like.
Will the Election Strategy end Obamacare?
Did electing Tea Party candidates change things?
You may think so after House Republicans pass a bill to repeal Obamacare. But . . .
It's what they WON'T DO that really matters.
We all know the Senate won't agree to repeal and the President would veto. But here's what you may NOT realize . . .
House Republicans already have the power to stop Obamacare dead in its tracks, even if the Senate and the President disagree. Here's how . . .
House Republicans could attach riders to all 13 appropriations bills, forbidding the use of federal funds to implement Obamacare.
They already do this to prevent federal funding for abortions, so they could do it for Obamacare too.
But they won't, because . . .
Republican politicians want to exploit Obamacare to MANIPULATE YOU.
And their manipulation is working just fine!
Mitt Romney, the original creator of Obamacare, has exploited the Court decision to raise more than $4 million. But will that money get its donors what they want?
Pay close attention to what Romney is saying. He claims he wants to "repeal and replace" Obamacare. But we've seen this con-game before . . .
Please remember what happened with the debt ceiling fight!
Downsize DC said that Republican politicians already had the power to balance the budget instantly! All they had to do was honor the debt ceiling. The debt ceiling was the ultimate balanced budget law! But remember what they did instead . . .
They repealed and replaced the debt ceiling!
The "replace part" was supposed to give you automatic cuts and forward movement on a balanced budget amendment, but here's what you really got . . .
NOTHING!
The con worked on the debt ceiling fight, and the con will work with Obamacare too.

I agree with Sen. Tom Coburn that personal choice and bureaucratic ingredients of the new affordable health care provisions need critical review and adjustment, however, I disagree with Rep. Speaker John Boehner that it requires going back to what existed and starting over again. We do not need to return to abrasive and costly debate paid for by the taxpayer. The politicians need to turn to "supportive" American worker provisions and programs.

What I personally like is the health care debate is now presented from a position of inclusion, not from the previous position of exclusion. Including individuals in the responsibility of health care was the uphill battle. With that in place, it is now time to improve and streamline.

The democrats currently have my ear, however, as an independent voter, this is not an endorsement of democrat ideology. If the democrats now turn into the party of "no" and refuse to recognize provisions that are costly, restrict freedom and prohibit economic growth it will destroy the current supportive view.

Message for republicans: If you want my vote, stop the tantrums and explain the "specifics" of adjustment that would convince me otherwise, i.e. the movement to "inclusion" is a tangible specific while the claim of "more costly" is yet to be proven, therefore, not tangible. If health care costs continue the uncontrolled rise as they did under the Bush administration, the claim becomes tangible and the democrats better be ready an willing to make necessary adjustments. Tangible is the difference between a response with specifics and generalized political spin.

Regards,
Independent Voter

What Republicans really don't like about "Obamacare" is that it forces insurance companies, to which the Republicans are beholden due to huge campaign contributions, to repay excessive profits to the people. It limits insurance company profits and requires them to use 80% of their revenue in the service of their customers. That's the big issue. The Republicans have stated that they would maintain nearly everything in Obamacare except that and the personal mandate. I wonder how they would pay for the other benefits they say they'll keep without the personal mandate. I wonder, too, why none of the pundits or interviewers on shows like Face The Nation and Meet The Press never mention the insurance profit limit and refund provision. That is what will bring insurance costs down.

This interviewer really made me Updet!!! I am an independent middle class worker who does well. At this point the Insurance coverage has became so expensive that Im in the bridge to give up on it because does not provide the service neither the cost and affordability I need. Obviously she works for such a large company that her Insurance coverage is so unexpensive for her to think that everybody else in America can afford Insurance coverage, whisc shows lack of information on her part to conduct this interview, I am sorry did I say Interview? I mean attack to the Senator. Wait until all those that make 25, 30, 40, 50, 60,000 are in the situation that can really no afford Insurance coverarge and do not qualify for Goverment Health coverage assistance, realize that they have to pay taxes for not being able to afford the Health Insurance, then all those people are going to remember Obama's Mother. Obama's has made people's fault no to have Health Insurance; either you pay at what ever prices the Insurance Company set for you or you pay Taxes because it is your fault. By His Law we are mandated to have Insurance, then make The Insurance company mandated to give affordable prices. The Winners with this law are not the People are the Goverment who will get a lot of money from the Health Insurance Tax and the Insurance Company that can monopolize their prices because we are obligated to get it!!!

I say thats what our politicians should be going after next is makin sure that IF we have to buy insurance then make the insurance affordable since more will have to be on it and then maybe the insurance companies won't be able to go on numerous luxurious vacations EVERY Year on the money they collect and don't have to put out when people go for years without claims.I see this mandate as a stepping stone for serious politicians who REALLY CARE for the people they SERVE not the rich that can not only afford GREAT insurance but put MILLIONS into campaigns for advertisement to put someone else down.Just think how far a few of those MILLIONS could go to help some that are really in need not those who take advantage of the system. The system is not bad it's the corruptions ,that is Discovered after goin unchecked, by corrupt people. It's on all sides of the fence, democrat, republican and Libetarian, white, black, yellow red there is corruption on all sides.
