trout-I respect you for standing by your man, but this story has legs, and it's just warming up for the sprint. No president wants to invoke executive privilege five months out from an election. Looks like a cover up. You know what they say, If it walks like a duck... Americans' memories are not as short as politicians think.
As we know from past experience, nothing screams coverup like an assertion of executive privilege when asked for government documents. One has to wonder: What exactly is hiding in those papers that pushed Obama to take this political risk?
Since the DOJ needs to be protected from an investigation that mean that this wne through multiple White House adminstrations and got screwed up und the current administration with full knowledge of the program. The cover up is more then protecting the DOJ.
If you don't speak English, go ahead and submit your comment in your native tongue and anyone who wants to know what you said can cut/paste it into a free translating service. That is, unless you get your thinking points from Fox News, in which case submit your comment into the Fox News comments section and anyone who cares what you think can log onto Fox News and look it up.
The problem is the cover up. That's what did Richard Nixon in. Bye bye, Obama. You've left us with four years of Mitt Romney and cry baby Boehner. Thanks a lot for nothing.
by troutfishman2 June 20, 2012 2:39 PM EDT $25 for thousands and thousands of documents? Really?
by hillzhavays June 20, 2012 2:54 PM EDT That's your respones? One truckload of docs costs more than the whole circus, then, according to you? you aren't very good as responding to the actual point, are you?
by troutfishman2 June 20, 2012 3:05 PM EDT You said $25 .... were you wrong? ________________________________
The point being, which you ignored, was that sending a courier over with the documents, however much it cost, would be less than the circus he caused by stonewalling the investigation.
so your assertion, that Issa was wasting tax dollars by pursuing the investigation, ignored the math and focused on partisan bias.
But you can hide behind whether or not a courier costs $25, I know that's your standard MO.
How about the lifes that was wasted by this program! No amount of money or time will bring Border Patrol Terry back nor the hundreds of people that died because of those guns! Stop with the politics and start thinking of the families that were hurt and killed by this program!!
Here we have clearly 2 times a sitting Democrat president has hindered or help stop a murder investigation, first time was LBJ filing a stop order for any further investigation into the Assassination of his BOSS JFK, now we have the 2nd case Obama stopping information leading to the answers of agent Brian Terry's murder, and accomplice. "Obama/Holder", let me ask what ever happened to the Inspector General, they were to watch over the A.G. or did we also de-regulate that office.
It is no wonder millions of us have become Independent voters. Americans have become blinded by political parties. Our news media has become an extension of the politics of one party or the other and that doesn't include the political talk shows. Our politicians look at the camera and have no problem distorting or out right tell lies and people believe them. We must rely on the foreign press to get honest facts. This hearing is important and we need the truth no matter what that may be. If your against the truth I would ask why ?
Saw the story lead-in this morning about assertion of privilege and figured it's gonna be a hot day, but I'm surprised only 622 comments at this point. I'll post more after I read all 622 - and climbing - comments. (not)
how odd you can say the GOP would throw her under the bus, they are not the current administration and the Democrats are the ones hiding facts, when Nixon went down he was repub, but who is even concerned with the truth or integrity of our country "the commentors that are hiding under partisanship", no justice,
Yes, I'll bet Mrs. Terry is glad it's an election year so the honorable Mr. Issa can crawl out from under his off-year rock and use her son's death as his latest re-election football.

I'll make is simpler for you:
What is more costly? A courier (however much it costs) or the circus Holder has caused?
The answer is a courier. So you needn't contact Issa about wasting tax dollars. Contact Holder.
