Anti-abortion is not a libertarian position. His father is a libertarian. Libertarians would be about the states determining it at a minimum, other Libertarians would want State and Federal government out of it all together. This seems more about political posturing for votes.

And on what authority is Rand making this statement? IF he was speaking about eye surgery I would accept his statement but no on spirituality. Too much room for a deceiver to enter and act as if they are an authority. Being self-rightous is placing yourself above God. Rand needs to leave spirituality to God and he needs to make sure his own house is in order.
Rand Paul sounds like a great spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood. His idea of a "reawakening" (for a bunch of sexist, violent, Christianists) is to allow their bigotry to take away our rights that they don't like. This is a sick, twisted, unacceptable, Republican attitude.
