Each of the other contempt charges did NOT involve the death of a US Government employee (US Border Patrol Agent Terry). And we also do not know how many other citizens or innocents were killed as a result of the "gun-walking". This charge is very serious, and not a political witch-hunt as the Dems love to characterize it.
Then it was "serious" under Bush who CREATED that type of program. This "investigation" is ridiculous and corrupt Issa and company KNOW it! Unfortunately law enforcement agents have been killed in the line of duty. That's an understood hazard. That it didn't happen (that we know of) under Bush is just a quirk of fate. If the program is deemed too hazardous, stop it. No need to try to idiotically play a stupid shell game to try to "assign" blame to one political party when it is another party that created the mess!

What are you talking about? That's how the law works. It's called precedent! You can't arbitrarily cherry-pick and punish only one entity in society for perceived infractions that others in power have instituted. If Wide Receiver was legal under Bush, then its continuation, Fast and Furious, was legal under Obama. Death of a law enforcement agent doesn't affect the legality of the programs --misguided though they may have been. Law enforcement deaths are an unfortunate but understood risk, and could just as easily have happened under Bush the Younger's reign.
It's amazing that you Obama defenders wouldn't even admit to the existence of Operation Fast & Furious, but now that there's no more holding back the truth, so it's blame Bush time again.
