Actually I love America and am constantly protesting and lobbying my reps to make it better.

I am just distressed that the right wing corporate agenda has been so successful at ruining America. Nothing of what we have done in the past 10 years has done anything good (wars all over, tax cuts for the rich, welfare for Wall Street and the drug corporations, etc.)

And people are so stupid they will keep voting for failed bozos like Mitler that promise more of the same only worse. Un freakin believable.

the extremist unamerican blather and insults you spew day in and day out prove otherwise. You have no clue as to what america and it's freedoms are, you live in a communist haze that is no where near reality.

The democrats had the majority in both houses of congress from 06 through 10, they still have the majority in the senate which adds up to 6 years total, Obama who is a democrat has been president almost four years, he bought the economy when he spent a trillion dollars of taxpayers money for a "stimulus" program. Unemployment started rising to it's level the same year the dems took control of both houses in 06. THe stock market had it's best day of the year the day after Walker retained his seat. The true unemployment rate is between 15 and 20 percent. The democrats have not offered a balanced budget ammendment or a budget of any kind in almost four years. New job creation has slowed to a rate that could trigger another recession, Obama has spent 6 trillion dollars in less than four years. Yet this man can stand in front of the american people and continue toblame republicans?????? He still blames Bush???? He blames anyone and everyone except himself. Can't wait for November!

right, i forgot...bush had no control over anything...it was the democrat congress that was elected in '06 that screwed to economy, right?...so by your logic, the GOP house elected in '10 is entirely responsible for the economic stagnation too, right?...give it up.
jibalt replies:

Majorities don't matter in the Senate when the Republicans filibuster everything.

"He still blames Bush????"

That's the only time Republicans mention Bush, when they say Obama blames him. Why? Because they know Bush is to blame and they don't want to be associated with him.

"Can't wait for November!"

In November, Mitt Romney will win because the right will spend vast amounts of money to brainwash fools, and we will all end up suffering immensely, as we did under Bush and other Republican presidents.

The self-stated purpose of the Republicon Party was to make America fail.

We have a country of unparalled greed and corresponding corruption. We have billionaires that need more than $5 billion they want $10 billion. Greed has taken over America.

The corporations keep having the government they run cut their taxes and not have them pay for ANYTHING they do. And then the ignorant Sheeple wonder why we have no money. And they want to make it worse.

This is a truly pathetic and failed country, America. It makes me literally sick.

Every generation thinks "America has failed". Yet, oddly enough, we've been around 200+ years and will be here next year too.

What do you guys think about the rampant corruption and greed? Oh maybe in your fantasy world, there is none.

I just heard a synopsis for the Republicans plan for creating jobs and it's short and lame: reduce deficit and decrease taxes on the 1%. What kinda plan is this? The deficit doesn't create jobs, it's a ramification of having lots of people working and paying taxes. Reducing it, at least by laying off people who work for the government, just adds to unemployment. Reducing it by chopping social security and medicare, just harms the people who need help the most. If you wanna reduce something, chop the frigging military spending. That sacred cow devours more money than any of the other "welfare" programs and, in my view, the military is Republican welfare. And as for the 1%, give me a break. They do not create jobs here, they go offshore so as to improve their profit margins. So, my fellow americans, don't believe anything as absurd as cutting deficits and reducing taxes for a plan to increase jobs. It is no plan, it's just business as usual.

Republicans have not grasped the basic concept that companies aren't going to start hiring just because they got extra tax breaks in their pocket. Those only end up in investors bank accounts, that's it. No, companies hire when the middle class can afford to buy their stuff. People buy their stuff, then companies need to expand, and they hire more people and they make more profit. Very simple, actually.

Why is it one side can admit we need both cuts and revenue increase;

But the other side can only scream cut, cut, cut ???

Because the main problem is spending, Zann.

The Joint Committee on taxation has said the Buffett rule would amount to an increase in revenues of $40 billion over 10 years. Frankly, me spitting in the ocean would make more of a difference.

We cannot spend our way out of this. We cannot tax our way out of this. Sure, I think at some point we should close some loopholes and end corporate welfare. But let's work on spending first.
Zann-Zel replies:

No - what it comes down to is ONE side is willing to compromise. And be LOGICAL!

While the other side is acting like spoiled 2 yr old brats!
