"This is a desperate move by Mayor Barrett to avoid addressing his lack of a plan to create jobs in Wisconsin."

Why would he tell people they didn't need to vote if he wants to win the election? This comment, made by a "Walker campaign spokeswoman" makes absolutely no sense at all.

This is obviously being done by Walker supporters, whether he knew about it or not.

But then, that's typical for right-wingers. Laws be damned as long as our candidate "wins."

Your comment is way too logical and clear headed to be accepted by the extreme right wingers posting the same ol' baloney, different situation.

The biggest problem we have in our representative Republic is people voting based on ideology, rather than reality.

I hope Scott Walker loses because I want people voting to have more power than moneyed interests buying influence. Period.

READ THE QUOTE.

*******. It says, "once again Mayor Barrett and his campaign are trying to falsely attack Governor Walker with absolutely no evidence. This is a desperate move by Mayor Barrett to avoid addressing his lack of a plan to create jobs in Wisconsin."

Verbatim from the article.

the desperate move is the lying about republican scamming(according the quote by the walker spokesperson.

again that quote is verbatim from the article. If you can't comprehend it maybe you shouldn't be able to vote.

CMON...Wisconsin residents/registered voters.

Get yer butts OUT to the POLLS and by God, VOTE, damn it.

I am back in the military since 2005 after having spent a tour of duty back in the early 70s during Vietnam.

I did it then...for freedom....and for us as Americans.

I'm doing it again now, because of September 11th and the War against Terrorism, for YOU, for US, for my fellow soldiers...for our civil and national RIGHTS....one being...the RIGHT to VOTE.

One man, one vote, one woman, one vote, one student, one vote, one blue collar worker, one vote, one white collar employee, one vote. One soldier, one sailer, one airmen, one marine, one vote,

One American, all races, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, personel preferances, religions, etc.........one vote per person.

Many Americans fought and died in our nation's wars to bring you this right and many more fought in America's wars of the 1900s and into the 21st Century and gave up their lives also not only for others in faraway lands to finally realize FREEDOM but also for us to keep this right we take for granted, the freedom to VOTE, to preserve this right and for us to USE this right to VOTE in order to preserve the institutions and ideals of Democracy for our generation and the one to come after us.

Now, USE this right, this same right that I served to protect and defend in the U.S. Army and now in the Army Guard.

Don't disappoint all the servicemen and women of this nation, all the veterans that served honorably and those who gave their ALL, their lives, for something greater then themselves...

Freedom.

Funny how we suddenly we hear about voter suppression the day of the election. How many thousands of "lost" votes do you think will turn up in the next few days? Remember Frankel? 7,000 votes magically appeared giving him a victory of a few hundred. The birthplace of public sector unions claiming the taxpayers are cheating? Yeah right.

Voter suppression (a Republican tactic) happens only on election day or the day before, as if it happened earlier it would be countered before the end of the voting.

Voter suppression usually happens on the day of an election.

Republicans would use this tactic near election day, because you have a hard time getting through on the phone to the elections offices around election day, the line is usually busy. The people perpetrating the fraud know this and know the people will give up trying to find out the truth and might not go to the polls.

I love the response from the Walker campaign. No denial or condemnation, just an attempt to twist voter fraud into an attack on his opponent. They don't take the high ground, because they have no idea what that means.

Election fraud with a Republicon involved? Nooooooo.

This is how Republicons roll, if they did not cheat they would not hold many elected offices. And if everyone voted they would hold none.

I have long maintained that if everyone voted, the Democrats would win most of the time. Most people work for a living and do not like being taken advantage of. They want a fair deal in life and money buying power is not fair.

Why would Republicans cheat when poll after poll indicates they're ahead? If anyone is likely to be cheating, it logically would be the Democrats.
I look forward to CBS News' report about reports that Democrats are bussing supporters in from Minnesota and Michigan to "observe" the elections.

The same reason Nixon had the break in done when polls showed he would win, to make sure. If you can keep 10,000 people home with phone calls in a close race, you are more sure of winning. That is a Rove plan from Florida and Ohio, get it close then fix it to win.

ruffiannd, how about the truth, that this was perpetrated by the Demonrats themselves to make them look like a victim if they loose? Makes more sense to me.

The solution is simple. If Scott Walker wins, Wisconsin will just have to hold elections until he loses. That seems to be the interpretation some people have about Democracy. Perhaps, those Democratic legislators who left Wisconsin in an attempt to block the state state legislature from voting should be recalled instead.

Ourdoc1 replies:

That is NOT what the PEOPLE of Wisconsin asked for. IF they want to recall them, the people need to sign petitions to do so, just like the people of Wisconsin did. You have no clue at all.

The intersting thing is that none of these Walker supporters have any problem with voter suppression. They are the new breed of political hacks who believe laws were made to be broken, democracy is bad and only an elite few should be allowed to run the country.

The average American does not have a chance against the vast wealth that has been accumulated by the Republican Party. It will control the country and by the time the average truck driver realizes that the grand poobahs of the Republican Party could not care less about him or her it will be too late.

The current wave of vote suppression is only the beginning.

I agree, the fascist began their march in 1994 with Gingrich. His Contact On America was a ruse and he knew it. That marketing ploy was never intended to happen and none of it did, but they took over the House and that is all that mattered.
