You know as I always have said in other comments. If you are such a religious person then you will look back in the bible. Where they was told if you are without sin then cast the first stone!! I know the bible in and out and I am bi. All people look at is the name given to people that are gay and not looking at people that are in love. All we in the LGBT community want is to be left alone and let us get married and divorced just like you so called straight people!! I know a lot of Christians and Catholics that say they are straight but when it is behind their partners back they go to the same sex for sex. Stop looking at the bible. We are a country, yes founded on Cristian values, that is changing in many ways. All any of us in the LBGT family want is freedom like the people that have the right to get married!! So, Please, stop trying to usze the bible to stand behind cause you know in truth that it isn't the bible you are hiding behind. It is just that you are scared to accept the way life is for many people and don't like change. Well it is time for change and this is 2012 not 1940's so get you head out of your arse and get into the new age!! So when you hear someone is gay for bi don't put them down just say I support you, cause that's what Jesus would have done!! He would not go and say I hate you cause you are this or that. Jesus loves everyone no matter who you are or what you are!! So stop using the Bible and get with your life because we all know as you are a straight person. Though you say you don't hate no one, you still do, but you use everything you can to hate anyone that is LBGT. Stop the hate and get on with your life!!
I'm 68 and used to be a Republican. As I matured, I became more enlightened and am now an Independent.
I was raised to believe that being Gay or Lesbian was a sin but have "evolved" to the point I now believe it is okay. One reason for this is the fact that I know some Gays and have come to understand their position.
My point is this: Not all of we Old F-rts become bigoted and narrow minded. I do believe the past was more bigoted and narrow minded and as my generation dies off, this aspect of our society will recede too. That will be a good thing.

How many voters in 1948 would have "approved" desegregation in the military? How many would have approved desegregation in schools in the 1950s?
