That prompted something of an online diatribe from Deace, who tweeted at least 17 times about Fehrnstrom's comments Thursday night.

"So at the same [time] the Romney campaign is demanding loyalty pledges from its base, it calls its base `voices of intolerance,'" he wrote in one. "What Romney's spokesman did tonight was bring aid and comfort to the enemy, which is the act of a traitor," he said in another.

Deace is a rightwing bigot, good for Ferhnstrom for calling him out.
The day of the "Log Cabin" republicans has long past into history. If current GOP leadership were still using the insight, goals, and perspectus of those Log Cabin GOP members they surely would not be making the errors and misjudgements that the GOP makes one after another, after another. Lincoln's party was for the individual citizen, protecting their rights, and would never sell out to big campaign donors, as the current GOP has done. They would be incenced by the current republican's goals and actions including their attacks on women, minorities, and the workers in America. Where is the concern, the empathy, "the we must solve this problem" attitude that permeated Lincon's party.
None of these highly desirable traits are present in the GOP of today. If they were, we would see more compromising in the congress. We would be living in a better America because our elected officials would have worked together to right the economy and recover more quickly from the devastating recession, (almost a depression). Instead we see poitical posturing and doggedly bitter partisanship, and outright refusals to negotiate by the GOP. Their politics is never more important than America's well being, something that the current GOP has forgotten. We needed jobs, the GOP has ignored us, we needed better regulations to prevent another financial meltdown, the GOP ignored us, we needed strong effective leadership, the GOP failed. We need better, more concerned lawmakers for our citizens, now this is something that we the voters can control. Vote these sandbagging, money loving, GOP politicians out of office.

The Republican Party is about to get to the point that their enemies outnumber themselves. They hate so many groups that they've turned themselves into the minority! Gays Women Minorities WILL ban together and vote them out! 2012 : )
`Limburger stinks so do a lot of views spewed by BOTH sides of Extremists right or Left if you don't find a compromise between the two the nation is doomed to repeat the past 12 years.. when folks falsely believed they were having a high life as the fake profits were divided by the wealthy and the middle class got drained in mortgaged lives believing in the pie in the sky pandered by the Monied class and sticking them with Iron clad contracts that caused lots of middle class bankruptcies. So the loan officer got his bonus on that persons bad LOAN bu not doing due diligence, or HIS J O B and he got to keep his work at the taxpayers expense.
"What Romney's spokesman did tonight was bring aid and comfort to the enemy, which is the act of a traitor..."
Once again, we see that we're not one country. We a country of the GOP and their enemies. We can't raise this country up when we keep being told that certain Americans aren't good enough to join the ride.
Who is this Deace character and what importance does he have in the grand scheme of things that we should care what a two bit radio "host" has to say? I only mention this because a lot of these insignificant mouths get more attention than they deserve in this 24 hour hypermedia climate.
It's interesting to note that as soon as even the faintest voice of reason is whispered from the Republican camp, some outer limit, Limbaugh wannabe shoots off his mouth and reminds us all of their true colors. Thanks for the reminder Deace.
Perfect. Now the Republicans are attacking their own party members who even dare to speak out against intolerance. The party is dying because it's committing suicide. And studies show that the younger the voter, the more tolerant and inclusive they are. So at this rate, the Republicans will be extinct in 20 years.
