I love the Ladies Ms Zann.............

I'm always on their side .. My Mother, Sister, wife and 2 daughters were/are Women --- and I would never allow them to taken advantage of of mistreated
-------------------

Did you see what the republicans did Friday?
They passed the student loan help -but they could have financed it thru taking away the oil company subsidies - INSTEAD they decided to end a program that helps women get mamograms and cervical cancer screenings!

OIL - MONEY is more important to them than the Women in their lives!!!!

People do not start civil unrest unless there is a good reason. How about public education costs tripling since the beginning of the Bush Crime Family? Or health care costs doubling? How about millions of good jobs going overseas while the salaries and bonuses of the Top 1% GO THRU THE ROOF as their reward for ruining opportunity in America?

THAT is why we have and need Occupy.

Nothing Evolve said had anything to do with your family Ranger!

Public Education costs - Healthcare costs - Jobs going overseas - those are concerns for ALL of us!

Just remember this: people do not go out in the streets and risk attack unless they are desperate. People do not become frustrated unless they are being lied to and stolen from by Wall Street and a corrupt system. Civil unrest does not start if the government is doing its job managing and overseeing the country.

TexFandango says:
If the Occupy Wall Street crowd represents 99% of Americans - or even 51% - why don't they simply take control of Congress and the White House by voting in candidates aligned with their philosophy?

Of course, the reason is that they don't represent even 5% of the American voters, and the only way they can garner any public attention is to encamp themselves on public and private property, block traffic and commit acts of vandalism, and play to an ever eager 24/7 electronic media starved for 'news'.

We have a democratic process in this country (despite the lunatic fringe who screams otherwise) so if the OWS rank and file want to prosecute change in this country, they should do so through the ballot box. Naturally that would obligate from them some coherent and specific policy changes rather than snappy slogans, angry tirades, and a bumper sticker philosophy.

You should get a copy of the 20 demands of Occupy. Very enlightening and they DO help 99% of Americans. And you would also see they have a political plan.

If the Wall Street Banksters did not crash the economy who did? They KNEW they were over leveraging the securities they held and were then selling. They KNEW they were bundling bad loans with good ones and then selling them as A-rated investments. They KNEW that there was huge risk for a crash when they insured themselves against the crash they knew they were creating. And STILL no one went to jail for their fraud. THAT is why we need Occupy.

Very well said trout and worth repeating for the unenlightened:

Mission Statement of OWS:

Occupy Wall Street is a direct action movement that is fighting against the crimes of Wall Street, government controlled by monied interests, and the resulting income inequality, unemployment, environmental destruction, and oppression of people at the front lines of the economic crisis.

TimeToEvolve says:
The purpose of non violent direct action that Occupy is doing is to right wrongs when the government fails to do that. For example in the 1960's the government refused to make discrimination illegal so the blacks of the south had to resort to direct action.

Now the Wall Street Banksters have purchased the government to do their bidding and to not regulate them. So We the People must rise up and fix it.

TimeToEvolve says:
Actually if you saw the great movie Inside Job, you would know that yes, the regulations were gutted and all hands conspired to crash the economy. I mean technically maybe they did not really think that would happen but they set it all up to make an accident happen.

And the Wall Street Banksters made out on both ends. They make out even when the rest of us lose. THAT is why we need Occupy.

Why, why occupy?

Because men and women (and yes, even children) roll themselves in blankets and sleep in doorways, night after night

Because the Wall Street Banksters are still taking people's homes after they6 conspired to crash the American economy
