Don't be touching the President of the United States or any other head of state. Someone should have informed Clark Kellogg of proper protocol.

I wish he would get as excited about something that matters like the economy but it looks like it always has to be a ballgame, singing, golfing or some kind of party. We elected a celebrity to be President and now we're paying the price.

Yes, taking 4 hours out of one day to expose a foreign diplomat to a place in America he hasn't been to and expose him to an American tradition is SUCH a poor use of his time. As a DAYTON, OHIO resident, I'm glad he game and gave some exposure to our great city!

I loved that photo...for a few minutes, they get to be just a couple of guys watching a ball game. To live life in a goldfish bowl 24/7/365 because your job demands it takes a lot more strength and courage than most of the dimwits here posting their snide remarks.

8.92 tons of AF-1 carbon created for this boondoggle; add on another 15 or so for the military cargo aircraft carrying cars etc, call it 24 tons. Better throw another $500M at a solar energy company, Barry.

Yeah, God Bless Him. And the taxpayers that fetched up $500K so the fan-in-chief could go to the game instead of watching it on the plasma screen down in the east wing.

Anyone know how many tons of carbon were generated so the POTUS and his buddy could have a night on the town?

Former President Bush flew to his ranch a lot and guess what I would not discourage him his pleasure. The job is difficult and President's need down time. This isn't a partisan issue btw and it's unfortunate that you made it one. There are many players who are thrilled to see both our President and the Prime Minister of our closest ally. You should be ashamed.

Oh by the way jp, did you happen to notice that this article appears under the "Political Hotsheet" banner? Clearly, this is an invitation for political commentary. Mine just happens to oppose yours.

I wish I had spare money to take a friend and go to the NCAA Tourney but I have to make ends meet in this lousy economy.
It's getting to the point where only elitist leaders can enjoy these things anymore on my taxpayer dime.

To bad you don't work for a company that pays you a living wage, if you did you could afford some entertainment.

Oh puh-leeze! Do you really think you're the only person struggling to make ends meet. Even in a good economy, millions of people do.

And obviously a whole lot of non-elitist people were enjoying that game on their own dime, not on yours. Quit whining and be grateful you're not living under a bridge. Many have it far worse than you do.

No one pinging on the folks that paid their own passage, windrider - only pings here are on the guy that spends lots of YOUR money for HIS satisfaction. They have a huge TV somewhere in the White House, so why the plane ride?

These games are not that expensive. Tickets can be had for less that $20. Besides, it's called diplomacy. I know it's a big word, but it is an important part of what world leaders do.
