I could just as well be writing this comment on any of the Santorum stories here....
Where exactly is the man's compassion. I see his zealotry and his passion, but not any human compassion. This is where Rick is far different than even "W".
I think people need to remember that this country was founded by what Native Americans would call "illegal immigrants". Nobody applied for citizenship. Europeans just came over and took over. Then started rounding up the "real" Americans onto reservations. I just saying that there are alot of people that need to study history a little more.
I'm not condoning illegal immigration, but I believe it's in our national interests to increase immigration.
-The Rich don't want to pay their fair share in taxes and want to keep their tax breaks. The Republicans are all for that. If so, then we need a larger poor and middle class to pay the bills.
-Republicans all plan on doing away with Social Security and replace it with a 401k system, which gives all the money to Wall Street. So much for the "Security" in Social Security. Nobody but the Rich like this plan for obvious reasons.
-Our population is aging and will be lopsided in the near future with more retirees than payees for the existing Social Security system. This is one of the big reasons the GOP wants to scrap the SS system as it is. I've seen more than one study that says we will need to increase immigration in order to back-fill our workforce anyway (not just to keep Social Security solvent), so why isn't anyone talking about increasing immigration rather than doing away with SS as it is?
-Jobs in the future won't be a problem according to the GOP. They will cut everyone's taxes and that will create all the jobs we will ever need.
So what's the problem with increasing immigration now and leaving Social Security alone? If we know we need to increase immigration then why don't we?
If we do increase immigration how expensive would it be to deport an immigrant that already has family here just so they can re-immigrate later?
I went to the post office the other day, it was early and being cleaned. Now this is the USPS center. I knew people who had his job.. BIUT I went there and it was total hispanic,, they couldn't speak English, and I am sure they were not legal. I got a young girl in conversation, she makes $7 a day. She works all day and she gets $7 a day. Seriously. She cleans the post office every day of the week and she gets $7 a day.
I think someone needs to do an intervention with Santorum - he has clearly lost his mind and is doing everything in his power to commit political and social suicide. I'm really worried about him.

My country is NOT worth breaking up families, and Rick Santorum is a heartless swinedog.
2) Insert foot.
3) Shoot foot.
Good job, Ricky.
