This is a major project with massive ramifications for the areas of the propose route. It deserves careful consideration of the input from all stakeholders. Just because the petroleum industry demands it is no reason for the government to rubber stamp the proposal. Of course, since most members of Congress, both Republican and Democrat, have invested in the companies that stand to profit from the project it will just continue to receive only cursory review in Congress.

Yes and if they get the approval to move forward and there is a disaster like BP and the Gulf, they will point their finger at the president and say he acted too quick without getting the complete information. They will act like they never heard of the pipeline and were never given all the information. More games fellas ?
