I still want to see how he is going to be relevant regarding healthcare.

After what he did in Mass.

So here Romney is, perfectly within the law, and CBS and Sarah Boxer (any relation to Barbara?) try to create some monumental scandal out if it. And Romney did NOT "admit to paying a lower rate than most Americans". That's putting words in his mouth - and nothing more than a biased, misleading, factually incorrect headline CBS manufactured without any statistics to back it up.

According to taxfoundation.org, "The average tax rate for returns with a positive liability went from 12.24 percent in 2008 to 11.06 percent in 2009." And that's for those with a "positive liability", therefore excluding the 43% of Americans who paid no federal income tax at all.

another chicken little "media bad" poster.

These guys are running about taxes, what they will do and how to be fair on taxes.

So yes what they do on their own taxes is relevant.

Yeah, your data from a biased conservative think tank that studies have already trashed in the 90's: http://www.cbpp.org/cms/?fa=view&id=93

erichsh, you know I've listened to this Garbage for over THIRTY-YEARS now. The way I look at things is Mittens made out like a BANDIT under an Economic Policy that benefited ONLY him. I can ALSO hear well enough to understand that he's proposing to CUT his Taxes even MORE if elected. Now I may not be the Sharpest Tool in the Shed but I am Smart enough to figure THAT out. I have watched, in MY LIFETIME, the American Worker go from the Highest Standard of Living in the World to the point we have some states in DIRECT Competition with the Third World on Labor Cost. To me a Working Man who votes for what Romney is selling is just plain out of his MIND!!

As problematic as Obama's presidency has been at times, it will be a cold day in hell before I vote for any of these jokers. If Romney should be the republican nominee and (shudder) win the election, you will see this country turn into something horridly unrecognizable. With the millions upon millions of dollars in his back pocket, the phrase "out-of-touch" will become the mantra of every single middle class person. And the middle class will be no more. Romney just doesn't have a clue.

oh big deal. if i were a wealthy individual such as mitt or tom cruise or bill gates or even oprah, i would have the best tax lawyer possible to find ways, loopholes, to shelter my wealth. wonder how much celebrities pay in taxes and how many don't pay taxes. mitt and et al made their wealthy legally and found ways to shelter their wealth which is probably all legal else the IRS would be relentless in prosecuting him and et al.

BUT, BUT, BUT....ROMNEY(or Willard) is wanting our support (votes) to become the next POTUS.... Romney stated he only made a "small amount of money ($365,000.00) doing public speaking," and that statement alone should give any intelligent person the ability to understand that he has no idea what it is like to work and live in today's REAL economy. THAT AMOUNT ALONE IS MORE THAN MOST WORKERS MAKE IN YEARS, NOT MONTHS OR EVEN ONE YEAR.

Since this country was founded, we the people have been ripped off by banks, starting in 1913 (fed bill was passed during pre xmas).

Presidents Jefferson,Jackson,Lincoln,Garfield all fought for US GOVERNMENT issued money - only Jackson and Lincoln's "green-backs" succeeded. "THEY"assassinated Lincoln &Garfield, just missed doing in Jackson too.

Until America has full control of its monetary policy, we are not FREE. Do not be fooled ; he who controls your money, how much or how little THEY allow into the market, controls your LIBERTY

Dan1802: "The real embarrassment is the budget deficit."

Tax Cuts And 'Starving The Beast'
by Bruce Bartlett

The most pernicious fiscal doctrine in history

I believe that to a large extent our current budgetary problems stem from the widespread adoption of an idea by Republicans in the 1970s called "starve the beast." It says that the best, perhaps only, way of reducing government spending is by reducing taxes. While a plausible strategy at the time it was formulated, STB became a substitute for serious budget control efforts, reduced the political cost of deficits, encouraged fiscally irresponsible tax cutting and ultimately made both spending and deficits larger.

Hey danny -- instead of posting ridiculous dittohead political rhetoric, try reading Bruce Bartlett's synopsis of the "most pernicious fiscal doctrine in history," since he was one of the creators of it!
