Buying an election using special interest money to fund attack adds is standard operating procedure. It doesn't work so well in Iowa and New Hampshire but will be on full display once the primaries in the major states are in progress. The primary debates this time helped reduce the influence of money compared to previous elections. It also helps that the public is mad and paying attention. Even so, we are likely to be faced with Romney vs Obama which is no choice at all.

Neither would be good for the country.

There is NO ONE running that is good for the country.

We are in trouble.

Newt knows where the Congressmen are hiding under their desks and how to make them respectable again with his "ten step" recovery plan for "crap sandwitch" eating GOP politicians. Romney must first be shown the restroom locations! /

lol, sounds like Newt is rethinking his support for super PACs and the supreme court concept of "corporations being people".

The Grinch should be well aware that many 'real' Republicans haven't forgotten that he is the moron, who brought PARTISANSHIP to Washington, DC and created the legacy that has crippled Congress, far too many State and local legislative bodies just to name one of his disastrous gifts to this Nation.

I would not support him or anyone like him, if they were the last English speaking people on the planet. He has absolutely no room to talk about anyone else, but I guess that when you are 'desperate trash,' you can't help yourself. If he really wants to stay in politics, he needs to find a smaller 'Banana Republic' in
some far away place, that most of us, will never visit, and move there, with his like minded supporters, ASAP.

Gingrich: Romney wants to "buy election"
++++++++++++++++++++++
The Toad is right, Willard the Waffler wants to buy the election. He may "buy" the nomination since he has two 10 million dollar homes, can make 10 thousand dollar bets, and is worth over 100 million dollars but it is more difficult to buy the election. The Toad is a hypocrite accusing the Waffler of what he would like to do himself. The Toad has taken millions as a lobbyist and is no FRIEND of the common person either. The Toad and the Waffler are both in the back pocket of the one-percenters.

So what you are saying is that he is Republican?

slatep says:
Exactly where has Gingrich been since practically forever.?

It is no secret that he who has the most money buys the election.

This is true of politicians from the top (President, Congress) to local state governors, mayors, etc.

One look at John Boehner (bought and paid for by bankers, big business and the wealthy) is all you need.

I still say all campaign funds should be placed in a general fund and distributed evenly among all the candidates.

This would allow the public to make an intelligent choice as to who gets elected based on the candidates prior records.

Yea; I know; FAT CHANCE.

But for any politician who says another politician would buy an election if he could is the pot calling the kettle black.

Newt has become the biggest whiner in this election cycle. Oh poor Newt, if only he had the millions he would have bought more than the election himself.
