Have to agree, that the entire election system in Iowa, is more like a foreign country, than an American process.
I don't blame Huntsman for criticizing their process, at all, and if I were to put myself in the shoes of any candidate, I would avoid that state, altogether, as of no importance.
Huntsman is right the New Hampshire primary is more important. The Iowa caucuses are meaningless since it is not a primary and not open to independents a lot of right-wingers bible-thumpers, and other assorted nut cases show up. In 2008 Gomer Pyle's stand-in (Huckabee) won! And in 1988 the buffoon Pat Robertson got more votes than George H W Bush! The problem with Huntsman strategy is that the NH primary is in Romney's backyard and historically if a candidate can't finish in the top three in Iowa or New Hampshire then his campaign is finished.
From what I have seen from Iowa, especially on the Republican side, are a bunch of unintelligent Bible thumpers that think the message from Jesus was one of hate and division instead of love and togetherness. Their brand of Christianity is closer to radical Islam than to what Jesus intended. Personal religion of the heart is fulfilling; organized religion of the mind is oppressive.
You are so right, that is why Gingrich, Bachmann, Perry, and Santorum are advocating war with Iran and going around talking about how much they hate gays, abortions, and immigrants. Maybe the term Christio-fascism should be used to define these people.
This comment is illustrative of Huntsman's snarky little rich boy attitude. He reminds me of Chadsworth Osborne, Jr. on the old Dobie Gillis show - Chadworth's mother on the show always called him a "nasty, nasty, boy" and that describes Huntsman. His demeanor is so offensive, I'd find it hard to vote for him even if I liked his position on all the issues.

I think you have him confused with Prescott Bush.

I don't know what you mean by "evangelical Christian fringe" or "extreme christian right".

Think "American Taliban", and you'll understand.
Sure you do....it's just known as the teabagging extremists from the far-right in the republican party of warmongers to you people!
