I think you got that backward there Joe. Harry Reid is sitting on at least 50 job creation bills passed by the house. He won't even let them be read in the Senate. Democrats have controlled congress for the past 5 years and its almost ruined us. 1/2 of the job was done in taking congress back in 2010. The job will be finished in 2012.

Don't even bother to 'work' at it. Unless both sides are going to get real, it's not even worth it. Though I'd say any cuts need to start with Congressional perks and retirement programs, oh yeah, and maybe some hefty fines for all that insider trading going on, there's a revenue generator for you
All ado about nothing, a trillion or two in the next decade is 1-2%, and nothing happens until after the next general election. A stalemate gives both sides campaign collateral. Even the press gets a story with a lot of hype. When the country defaults on its debt, then you have some meat (and a new federal government, too). The Supreme Court can then make the hard decisions. Watch the rich, who will have 90% of the wealth, take a 40% haircut. Then most U.S. citizens will live in housing owned by foreigners. Sound far fetched? The process has already begun.
