I voted for President Obama in 2008 and I will be voting for him in 2012. I think he is doing what he set out to do and that is to UNITED ALL AMERICANS. He have the United States and the american peoples best interest at heart.
and the gallup poll has him at 50%. rasmussenreports.com has a little over 50%. what do you bet that cbs either fudged the numbers or they have a primarily democrat calling base?
Seems FOX wants to "circumvent or bend" copyright law and call it a "fair use argument, claiming that the video was for reporting purposes." You can argue that this isn't about schoolchildren and indoctrination, but the fact remains FOX wants something for nothing AND is willing to make an attempt to redefine copyright law to defend itself.
But back to your comments specifically - can you answer the question of why the parents of these children "only learned about this incident" because of FOX news? If they were truely involved and concerned about their child's education, why did it take them months and FOX news to find out what was going on in their child's school? Seems like this "story" should have broken by June or perhaps Feb(if their parents were truely involved in their child's education). By their own admission these parents indicated that their child did not mention anything at the time(in Feb or June), so did it have a lasting, "indoctrination" effect on their overall education? If so, why is the world are we hearing about it in Sept.? You and FOX news take one case, on one day and blow the story into "the great Obama push to indoctrinate our children". Surely if there have been other incidents in other schools, by now, this "sinister plot" should have unfolded into a much larger controversy by now...... Forget race, this is more FOX "attack, smear and go" approach to "fair and balanced" journalism with a touch of fact and a lot of fear-mongering....... They couldn't really make the propaganda thing stick when Obama addressed schools with his "study hard, do well in school message" earlier in the year, now it's this.
The real question you should be asking yourself now is who took this video and why did they hang on to it for at least 4 months? And if you already have these anwsers, why are you not sharing them with the rest of us? Some of the answer goes like this:
"Alteredbeat," the YouTube user who posted the video on the Internet, told FOXNews.com that the video was first put online by Charisse Carney-Nunes, an activist and author of the children's book "I Am Barack Obama," which her Web site says "allows children to see themselves through the inspirational story of President Obama." Carney-Nunes has been promoting the book during visits to schools on the east coast."Alteredbeat" originally posted the video Sept. 6, two days before Obama made an address to the nation's schoolchildren in which he praised the American education system as the best in the world and urged students to stay in school."Alteredbeat" told FOXNews.com that he reached out to Carney-Nunes, who insisted that the program had been filmed in June as part of a Father's Day tribute to President Obama. "The kids made up the songs on their own," she wrote, according to the YouTube user."
Who is Alteredbeat? How does FOX know him to be a reliable source? Why did Alteredbeat wait til Sept 6 to post it? And why did it take FOX news til Sept 24th to spread it? Hopefully FOX is digging in deeper to disclose the extent of this controversy.

"Did you just poll people in New York, California and Illinois?"
_______________________
The first part of your statement appears to be accurate i.e. the percentages, then you follow up with this ja-broner of a question? Like suggesting that the poll is not truely random and infer that there's something "sinister or evil" about how CBS conducted their poll by selecting people from only three states. Why not ask a direct question like, "Can CBS break down the statistics for all of the respondent's state of residence?" or "Was your poll completely random?"
Why don't you make your request simple, to the point - then allow the facts to form your judgement. You're show signs of classic FOX journalism and indoctrination...
Hiya Velma. Moderate, sensible, middle of the road rules this roost called America. It always has, it always will. No extremists, right or left will win the battle for the voice of America for the voice belongs to neither. It belongs to "We the People" and not "We the Extremist People".
Stuart: Good intelligent comment-just like your "anarchist" emesis which you spewed in another CBS article-comparing republicans to anarchists. Do you know nothing about history? And don't try to play it off as some sort of satire. You truly have NO idea what you are talking about.
President Obama's approval rating stands at 56 percent,
44 percent approve of the president's handling of Afghanistan,
Perceptions of the president's handling of health care, by contrast, have improved, though they are still below 50 percent. Forty-seven percent now say they approve
On the economy, one in two Americans approve of the president's performance
Asked who has better ideas on the economy between the two, 53 percent cited the president while just 27 percent pointed to Republicans in Congress.
On Iraq, fifty-four percent approve of Mr. Obama's handling of the war,
Fifty-eight percent believe he has made about the right number of appearances and is not over-exposed.
Well there ya have it my republican friends. Not nearly as bad as you would have everyone believe huh?

Now they say this was for "Black History Month" by why must we stoop to race. Should we not just promote Obama for all of his accomplishments?
Well, on second thought maybe the Black History thing works better.

The breakdown for the CBS poll is 22% Republican, 37% Democrat and 41% Independent???? Did you just poll people in New York, California and Illinois?

If for no other reason than these numbers will hopefully put an end to the right winger assertions of being "THE PEOPLE" all by themselves.
That small band of ideologues made their [loud] stand in the last six weeks... but the voice of all Americans now gets a chance to be heard.
I love this country. Especially when the truth gets the loudest voice among all the free speeches!!
(Hi stuart... good posts above, thanks for staying true)
Obama has a majority of Americans confidence in handling the economy.
Obama has a majority of Americans feeling his ideas on the economy are better than republican ideas.
Obama has a majority of Americans who like his handling of the Iraq War.
Obama has a majority of Americans feeling that he is NOT over-exposing himself.
Obama is such a failure! How dare children sing songs about "that" man!!
This is a travesty!! Impeach him!!
Well those are the stats from the article. So I DO KNOW what I am talking about. Obama is GREAT!!!! Let's all sing a song!!!
