I have changed the post to reflect the full name, including "Jesus Christ." Thank you.

The name of the church is important because Brian Montopoli left Jesus Christ out of the name. Christ is central to our belief and as well as to the title of the church.

Do you people complaining about the name get all upset when Massachusetts isn't referred to by its full name of Commonwealth of Massachusetts? Get over it already!

Whatever their name maybe be, they have no right to hijack anyone's relatives against everything that person believed in life. If the person did not wish to join their church in life, they should leave them alone after death. Spousal requests or requests from family of unmarried persons should be the only ones considered.

The name of the church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" you should check the church's official style guide for journalists at http://newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/style-guide

Whatever the name is, they have no right hijacking others who, in life, had no use for their teachings.

I believe Monson is the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Mormon church or Church of Latter-Day Saints have never been official names. In deference to the Church and proper journalism, please use the official name. Thanks.
