- To say that Liberals are not racist is like saying Al Franken is not a joke.

- "Having said that, Mr. Cosby also spoke from the "old school" a time when "Black" people thought that the key to overcoming the problem was to somehow become more like "whites", which is why "whites" continue to quote him."
Yes, it truly was "old school" when Mr. Cosby told blacks to focus on getting an education in school instead of having kids in their teens. What nerve! - Reply to this comment
- Last time I checked Obama is of mixed race, black and white. The title of "First Black President" does not really apply.

- Shouldn't THAT be up to the Black People among us? I am part Native American but I favor the Irish Side, both accept me as one of them. I sense something more in your post though. Something REAL sick, like you want to put him in a bracket all to himself. Something like the Courts did back in the early 1800'S or the Nazi's did in Germany during the 30's. He has lived and did okay among BOTH races and THAT is something we should all be proud of.
- Did Obama's mother dip herself in bleach? Obama is not "African American" anything. He is of mixed race, yes, but most certainly is not African American. First of all, will you people PLEASE find something to call yourselves that is correct? If you were BORN in Africa, THEN came to America and became a citizen then yes, you are African American. If not, you are black. I have never seen a race that finds SO many different terms. First, it's negro, then it's colored, then it's Afro American (whatEVER the h.e.l.l. THAT was supposed to be), then black, then this ridiculous African American nonsense. PICK ONE!!!
Obama is a man of mixed race, with a white mother and a black father. He is not the "first" anything. If blacks are not the problem, then why are there hundreds and thousands of murders in the cities (mostly black) and not in the suburbs. WHY? Why are cities so violent? No one can answer me THAT now can they? - Reply to this comment
- If you open your ears, the speach was also for all the downtrodden white brothers & sisters crying victim to affirmative action.

- discrimination or racism are both negative and destructive forms of thinking, but quite strong in America. For the one chiding Saturn about bemoaning the poor blacks because of slavery, may I remind that person nearly every race has suffered under the hand of slavery. The Mexicans were enslaved by the Spanish for more than 400 years and they were treated even worse than the black slaves in America. The slavery prison in Ghana was supplied not by white slave hunters, but by native black slave hunters. To this day the indigenous tribes of America are still under the hand of the American Slave Government. If you are Indian and live on the Rez you are denied all rights as a U.S. Citizen and hope for the best under the hand of the Massah. The Jews were shot, tortured, and gassed by the millions. We have tortured our prisoners, but the one with the forked tongue tells us to teach the dark history of the US, but forget about all the others? That is past and we shouldn't dwell on it? It is all wrong and all of it should be taught. If you don't want to teach about all injustice then you shouldn't dwell and teach only one dark episode of this country.

- Hey Yeahme,The fact that you spelled speech wrong is one of the things that gets people of all races turned away from jobs.No matter how street smart you think you are or how long you have been schooled . If you can't handle the fundamaentals like spelling ? You will be first turned away and the last hired.

That is not racism, that is punkism, the stronger taking advantage of the weaker.
It is America's history, perhaps you are concerned because in your situation you are not among the stronger.
So you get punked. Now that you know how it feels, it would seem logical to work to eliminate all of its forms, not just the ones that adversely affect you, but nahh, neos cannot sonceive of such concepts, too big for their heads. - Reply to this comment
- And so you would have us vote for a party whose more vocal members actively advocate the continuation of discrimination against us eh?
Right, are the pigs flying yet?
As far as the schools, what you ignore is that the logistics of attending a school farther away from your house than your economy permits, in areas where your own ethnic salient points mark you as a target for hatred, is not the answer.
You seem to be laboring under the mistaken impression that I would want to send my kids to where they are not welcome, or that my kids would want to go.
The answer would have been to equalize the funding for the schools in the "Black" neighborhood, in kind, if need be, to ensure that the same access to information and the proper tools existed in the poorer schools.
Because you and your ilk cannot accept us as human beings and fellow citizens, I would rather not have to put up with your attitude, or have to come stop my son or daughter from reacting to your hatred, as your ilk are not worth adversely affecting my child's future.
After surviving 400 years of putting up with your worst intentions, it is clear that we will not fail, just as it is clear that we will eventually build our own institutions, and enjoy our own society, we have already started, and the effort will expand exponentially, just as soon as we can finish pushing the last dregs of your ilk out of our way. - Reply to this comment
- If blacks want to take control of their future they first have to realize that it is the progressives that are holding them back. The true racists are the ones that keep them hooked on government social programs. Example" When Clinton passed "workfare" that limited how long someone could get welfare, blacks went out and got jobs. The steps to take control of your life does not include any government hand outs.
