Micheal Steele and Sarah Palin are both underqualified for their jobs. I believe Steele has a legitimate shot at getting better, but Palin will not. She demonstrates a lack of growth and understanding. It was better that she quit and stop submitting her family to the ongoing humiliation they are suffering.

Here is an idea, Maybe it is time for a third "Moderate" political party that represents the political centerists. So most of us are represented not just the two far sides of the political spectrum. I do understand that we would be attacked from both sides, however we could see the redeeming qualities of the entire spectrum.

I live in Nebraska which is a conservative state contrlled by the repubs however we had 2moderate senators one from each party. We lost one this last election only to be replaced by a "party "man who votes the party line almost all the time. This is why I raise the question of a third party. I think the loss of Chuck Hagel as a senator is far more detrimental than the loss of Palin.

Roberts was confirmed in 2005 by a republican Senate that contained only 44 democrats and I believe Alito was confirmed by the same republican Senate in January of 2006, before the democrats took control.

I find it interesting that the far right and far left ideology are predominate in the posts on this site. Most of us are in the political center yet seem to be ignored by both RADICAL sides of the political spectrum. I must admit the far right tends to attack anyone who does not hold with their narrow view more than the far left. Regardless who is worse, it serves no purpose in character assassination because of a difference in opinion. I like you have my own opinion but opinions are like rectums, we all have them and they all stink. why not try to respect others as we teach our children to do, and refrain from some of the childish responses that seem to be prevalent amongst the bloggers. grow up and get a life.

Hey credibility2,

Maybe you should smell Sotomayor's feets and make a lot of noise if they smell very bad. So far, just based on what the Republicans have brought to light, Sotomayor is cleaner than Alito and Robert.

In Nov 2004, 45% of Hispanics voted for Republican Bush. In early 2007, there was a lot of Anti-Immigration screams by the Republicans. In Nov 2008, 31% voted for Republican McCain. In Political math, this is a Tsunami change.

I am praying hard to God that the Republicans will press hard and negative on Sotomayor to improve these numbers for the Democratic Party in Nov 2010 and 2012.

Gracias Republicans for your kind understanding. If any Republican needs help to writeup an ugly nasty negative comment about Sotomayor, it will be pleasure to help you. So, please let me know.

"I don't think the country is best served by having an activist jurist on the bench who in the president's words is empathetic to the person standing in front of him, blind to the fact that the law or the Constitution says this is the appropriate outcome," Steele said.

Did the President say she was "blind to the fact that the law or the Constitution says this is the appropriate outcome"? I DON'T THINK SO!!! And, as it turns out, she is NOT so blinded.

Repukes have got NOTHING but lies.

credibility2,
The point is not that Sotomayor is raked. It is that only two points have been found that are hardly worth raking any coals. And the noise that is made - does it come from Democrats?

Democrats are making noise over Sotomayor...

F*** my stomach hurts from laughing!

And by the way: Sarah probably wishes to support exactly NOT what Steele is doing and - and - and

My, where is the end of being-beside-facts in this utterance?

I love it Slownewsday when you fly off the rails about Sarah Palin like a total misogynist...

Liberal white males just can't stand the thought of a female near the White House...that's pretty obvious...Hillary should know...

But you just went totally into paranoic frenzy when the REPUBLICANS put up a smarter, more successful, more experience candidate for VP than the commies had for a president...my gawd...you people couldn't have picked a biggard dullard hateful racist bigot foreigner and slapped him in our White House...

The average education of white liberal males must be about 3rd grade.

Previous nominees Alito and Roberts were raked over the coals by the Democrats who controlled Congress during the last few years of Bush 43. Bush 41 nominated Clarence Thomas, but again, Democrats controlled Congress and the Dems also raked Thomas over the coals. Sotomayor isn't being raked over the coals by this Democratic controlled Congress. I believe Alito, Edwards and Thomas were all Republicans. Sotomayor is a Democrat.
