- That sounds nice - certainly different than the Prius right now. I'm trying to stick with an American brand car so I have high hopes for the Volt. We'll see. ;)

But currently enjoys 57% approval. Which is pretty good when you consider the disasters he inherited and is trying to clean up. - Reply to this comment
- I'm looking at getting a Prius in 2011. My car will be on it's last legs then and the 2011 model will have the lithium ion batteries instead of the nickel metal hydride. 70mpg on gas and with plug-n the first 40km are all electric. Since I live near a hydro-electric station, the carbon footprint will be next to nothing.

- Apparently poor bitter Joe hasn't taken a long hard look at Ann Coulter lately. Or even a short, brief glance, for that matter.

- I think she might understand the concept of the science, but is in denial, like a lot of people.

- Actually I was counting on a Volt, but if they have problems with them after they come out I have several fall-back models to choose from. But my next car will be 100% electricity driven (for at least the first 50 mile). The vast, vast majority of my driving is under 50 mile round trips. Right now the volt is scheduled for release in late 2010. We'll see what happens then.

- Why doesn't this dope fade away? She apparently doesn't believe that we should do anything wise regarding changing climate and puts profits above all else, including the safety of the future. Among scientists, there is virtually no debate that human activity is changing climate, but Palin is wedded to the past and doesn't understand science. At least she has company in the GOP.

Oh and we're happy to have Quebec in Canada. It's a great Province! I have Francophone friends. Canadians believe in diversity. - Reply to this comment
- Unfortunately, you'll most likely be buying a Toyota, Nissan, or Honda. Unless the "Big 3" have the foresight to actually think ahead (this time).
GM does have the "Volt" coming out soon, but I'm afraid it's too little too late and that people are wary of US brand names. Especially with new models. - Reply to this comment
- I'm a democrat and a liberal and a tree hugger and I'm all for nuclear power. I'm just against fossil fuels of all types. Hope to buy a 100% electric car next year... and I'm not alone.
