- um, rowdy - the "tingle down their leg" comment you endlessly, needlessly and nonsensically post was made by Chris Matthews, who works for MSNBC, not CBS. So you're post, as usual, is nonsense.

- fred-mertz, as a obama apologist, your hypocrisy is hilarious.
Please explained why he won't finished his term before running for the presidency? I'm sure he got a calendar and can figured out when his term ends and when is the next presidential election is.
Could it be because he put his narcissistic wants before the people of Illinois? He wasn't forced out by any entities and barely show up to vote presents.
barrack quit the Senate, that makes him a quitter no matter how you want to spin it. - Reply to this comment

- Living in the worst financial state in the nation, Michigan, we see Sarah as a savior. She MUST stop the cap and tax bill. Michiganders cannot afford triple or quadruple heating bills from this cap and tax bill. Not to mention the health care bill. We will all be living with a 70% tax rate before you know it. WAKE UP PEOPLE! I have heard there is enough anthracite coal in the state of Pennsylvania to supply the US for 1000 years. We are self supporting in our energy and this cap and tax is just money in the government's pocket.

- Obviously you don't remember her position on cap and "trade" while she was running for vp. She was all for it then. How will SHE save you now? Start using the brain God gave you instead of just absorbing right-wing propaganda, and re-spewing it on forums. She's doing it for the money, and Big Oil's got the money now.
- The truth is probably a little of each.
Palin can't function as a governor if she have to constantly fighting nuisance lawsuits.
The libs think she should hang on to collect her paycheck while can't effectively do her job says a lot about where they coming from. - Reply to this comment
- Leave Sarah alooooooooone!

- it would appear that when the ex-Governor of Alaska can not control situations she has involved herself in she runs away from them. She's not a finisher, she's a quitter.

- Palin is just another opportunist!! Republicans love her because they think she is "hot", no brains, but "hot". I hope she doesn't lose her "looks" anytime soon. Afterall, who would the Republicans have to grin about????

- Pure conjecture and garbage? It is obvious that you have not read the litany of statements that she has made while doing her "trailblazing". I would suggest that you do a little research before making such a statement. If you consider her to be executive material, I would be highly suspect of your headhunting skills. The insane asylums are full of people who "think outside the box", but I would not want any of them running my company, or country

- Frankly I don't give a sheet what a freaking CBS poll shows...a new stations that feels a tingle down their leg and then posts a poll...
CBS NOBODY FREAKING BELIEVES YOU ANYMORE....FREAKS! - Reply to this comment
- Americans like trailblazers who have integrity; they've never cared for quitters who are only looking out for themselves and their own pocketbooks--big difference.

- I am a an executive headhunter. I believe, if I am not misaken, that while many folks resign to different work for many reasons i.e. pay, work environment, etc. that most everyone, resigns to improve and enhace their careers, DUH! Okay, it is S Palin we are talking about but so what. it is funny that everyone from Michael Jackson to Sarah Palin are scrutinized and most of the commentary is pure conjecture and garbage. As a recruiter I must admit that her strategy is pretty bold and this is what type "A"s do, She is not a one of the sheeple. Like her or hate her. she's blazing her own trail and it used to be that American's liked that persoanlity trait. Now, votrs like wimps, followers of the status quo and butt kissers who will say whatever they think people want to hear until they get elected. While sheeple claim they don't like those traits they always vote for them and then, people act upset because they feel they were duped. Lead, follow or get out of the way. She may have gotten out of the way, she may still prove to be a leader but she surely isn't following. God bless th innovators, leaders, people who think outside the box because there are fewer of them than ever.

- From the day she announced her resignation, I've thought one word sums up the answer as to why: money. I don't blame her for wanting to make a fortune for herself and her family while they're still young enough to enjoy it. She's a hot item on the speaking circuit for some; she's going to make millions on a book deal; and she can raise money to gain power within political circles. Better now than later because if she campaigns for candidates and they lose, she's poison, and if she succeeds, she's golden and can reignite her career then. She has a fringe base whose members close their eyes and ears and worship her like an idol, the very thing the book they use as a weapon against the rest of us warns them not to do. In the meantime, we'll all just have to suffer her self-promotion and the media attention, but I must admit that I'm starting to miss the days when we elected cut-throat politicians and criminals instead of media stars.

- & out of 10 repukeakins support Palin. That gives her 13% of the votes in America and you think McCain got the &%$# beat out of him. She will only get votes from West Virgina and Alaska maybe.

- No you had better add in all of the Bible belt states like Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and all of the south!
- She treated her "term" as Gov like she would have a beauty pageant reign...She wanted to show up for photo ops & ribbon cuttings, sign autographs, and wave to the masses like royalty from her state owned SUV. Notice how she kept saying she was going to "give up her title"?? It was like listening to Princess Diana when she said she was quitting because of the paparazzi...Diana even said she didn't "need her title to do good works"...Sound familiar?
But then it started to get tougher. It didn't help that after the campaign, she was under the scrutiny of the entire country. Before, only Alaskans knew when she screwed up. Now, we ALL know. She didn't want to be there anyway. A blind man could've seen that!!
A snapshot of Ms. Palin?s activities, as viewed through her daily schedules for May of this year, suggested a governor largely focused on the ceremonial aspects of her job.
On most days, there were gaps in Ms. Palin?s schedules. On May 6, for example, the only items on her schedule were a 45-minute interview with Runner?s World and a meeting with guests at the governor?s house in Juneau.
On May 22, she had four items listed on her schedule: promotions at the middle school in her hometown, a book dedication ceremony, a girls? soccer game and an event at which she and her family dropped a puck at a hockey game.

- You're right about the double standard, too. I've been saying it all along. Whenever a democrat or someone from the liberal left does something wrong nothing much is said about it or they're praised for it! When a conservative republican does the same thing, the liberal left jumps on them and the liberal media smears their name all over every news channel in the country, every newspaper, and the internet!

- You are right! We in middle "flyover" America are also tired of being ignored by the political elite and tired of the states with the high populations getting all of the money and the attention from the federal government. That is another reason that I support Palin. She is a "country girl" from a small town and she knows about life in a small town. She knows that the small towns and the states with small populations often get ignored and passed over when it comes to federal funding.
