Giving her a chance means taking a HUGE step BACKWARDS
by Mortarman29 July 13, 2009 2:24 PM EDT
Yes...backing away from Marxism that currently occupies the White House and headed back in the direction our Founders intended.
by toldyouso29 July 13, 2009 8:56 PM EDT
Chances are for gamblers--let's not give her a chance since we might not recover from it...instead, how about we seek out more qualified people we do not have to squint and ignore their faults and hold our noses to vote for? I am all for Republicans giving Palin a chance--but not with my part of America--wait until you guys secede then do whatever you want with what you take.

You are crazy! The media has not destroyed Palin. She has done it all by herself. And crazy people like you will like her despite what she stands for, which is divisiveness, fear mongering and hate mongering.

I just don't get it. Republicans have to know that Sarah Palin is not smart enough to take on the Presidency nor anything else in the Federal Government.

I guess Republicans believe anything or anybody that looks like Palin is fit to be President!

Republicans have lost their minds!!!

What are you talking about? He is gettin stuff done! It can't all be done at once, but he is making headway. I'm sorry if his ideology is too advanced for your brain to process about how his policies can get us out of our recession and problems
by Mortarman29 July 13, 2009 1:40 PM EDT
Republicans have lost their minds! Afterall, they ran McCain didnt they.

Of course, the Democrats never had a mind in the first place.

President Obama is intelligent, articulate, educated...his wife is intelligent, articulate, and educated. I trust them. I'm simply stunned by anyone who takes Mrs. Palin seriously on even a sub-basic level, much less as presidential material!?!?!?!
by Mortarman29 July 13, 2009 2:25 PM EDT
Intelligent, articulate, educated. I have known a lot of folks with these qualities who dont have a clue!!
by toldyouso29 July 13, 2009 8:54 PM EDT
granted--that is true mortar--but you have to admit, you have met few who lack these skills that are actually effective as leaders or who you would want to place in charge. I think Palin is dishonest as well as stupid--she is also vindictive and could careless except about pay back and how she looks--that would not bode well for anyone --not to mention that while she was being incurious her seccessionist hubby and about 12 Cheneyesque appointments would destroy our country and Constitution even more. And the religious thought the antichrist was to be a man. LOL

Yea she represents light all right. The light you can see between her ears.
by toldyouso29 July 13, 2009 8:51 PM EDT
Beacons of light can and do short out. Maybe they meant she was a glow then bam! a few sparks, and flashes then she left her followers in the dark--first Alaska voters...next---lol
by toldyouso29 July 13, 2009 12:26 PM EDT
LOL. Is that all you got from that post mortar-mouth? The rest about needing a brain did not reach you? do you really want to entrust the country or our government to someone just because you and others think they are hot? What about the fact that fecklessness could destroy our country--will how hot Sarah is matters if she gets us into a war with China and they nuke us? Is that what your last thought will be ?

"Oh my god!!!, China is going to nu....say--is Sarah looking hot today or what?--mmmmmmm d o u g h nuts (homer simpson drool moment) LOL

The Democrats don't want the useless pupit that the Republicans threw away.
Palin is like an old beauty queen who just can't find it in her EGO to GET OFF THE STAGE.
She was a disaster for the Republicans, left Alaska at mid term, and now is attempting to draw in any remaining glitter that might still be on the floor of the national arena.
What ever happened to leaders ? Is she really the new icon for American Politics ? A beefed up Barbie Doll with absolutely no political wisdom, no sense of humanity, a motor mouth of platitudes that are rooted in ignorance, and beyond that just a pathetic egocentric woman who should be selling bait instead of herself..
ENOUGH OF THIS CIRCUS !!

You are kidding right? Hopefully you are not as sexist as this piece implies? Surely you in no way equate governing or running our country to "hottiness"? What about intelligence? Integrity? Multi-tasked skills? Being above reproach ethically? Knowledge of how the world and world governments work? Knowledge of how our own government works? I suspect that with Dems, Indies and even a few REpublicans (like Noonan and others) if the response to Palin by world leaders is about her looks or her body--we would be insulted--not because Palin is hot or cute or has a great bod or sex appeal--but because it would show that women were once again reduced and relegated to body parts and that the men not only in America but around the world tended to think more with their smaller head than with the one between their ears--and THAT would mean that men still saw women as something to either ride or rag on but never as equal, intelligent partners.

To be honest, the beauty of any woman is an impediment--because if she is successful both she and other women will always wonder if it was through merit and intelligence and hard work or just looks-there is no greater indictment than to succeed not based on hard work but on superficiality.

So your post must be tongue in cheek, right?

If Palin is speaking from the heart, she could use several intellectual bypasses--because she usually doesn't know what she is talking about and makes no sense, once one gets pass her rhetoric. No meat or knowledge on real issues --just fluff and stuff and lots of emotional folksy bs.

The only reason SP gets this kind of press is because she looks good.Your poll is accurate...about 22% of Americans don't have the intellect to wipe their nose

I did like Reagan. I did not agree with all of his policies--but I loved the way he could manipulate the media. I like Reagan more than Clinton.

Not because of the lie and affair (irrelevant) but because Bill sold us out as a country to NAFTA and pimped his skills out to our potential enemies (columbia and ME) to get into our businesses. Bill also could handle the media and should never have been impeached--=Bill also should not get credit for the surplus and pay down of the deficit since it was the Republican Congress that pushed through all the cuts and laws requiring a balanced budget over the heads of the protesting Democrats and Clinton's main contribution was to NOT veto the bills or the spending cuts--for that he does get kudos--but the truth is--if the Dems had been in charge--they would probably do what they always do best--spend the hell of out someone else's money like there is no tommorrow.
