- Antonio, "blood bath" implies that violence will occur against Republicans and conservative independents who come out in 2010 to vote against democrats. Surely, you're not "too stupid" to threaten persons who aren't going to vote for your candidate. Oops, guess you are.

- Sessions says that we don't need reverse racism to make up for the real racism that he has always believed in.
Sessions portrays the whiteright as loons and I agree. - Reply to this comment
- A huge non-issue. She will be confirmed. Next!

- That "she has advocated a view that suggests that your personal experiences, even prejudices would influence a decision you make", sounds like common sense. Or do you mistakenly think Thomas and Scalia turn off their prejudices when deciding a case?

- "Absoposislutely" I agree 100%
All I ask her to do is go by the 'Law' when determining her brand of 'justice'. (I have my own 'brand' of justice) (but I am not a lawman or judge)
- Agreed! You would perhaps expect her to have the mind-set of some patrician blueblood who's a couple of chromosomes short due to inbreeding?
Of course her background is going to exert some influence over how she approaches and views various questions, just as the blueblood?s would...the Republicans just know enough to lie about it in the hypocritical manner of a serial adulterer like Newt Gingrich bellowing piously about family values, or a drug addict like Rush Limbaugh (All druggies should be sent up the river...no exceptions (besides himself) and I won?t even get into Larry Craig and the rest of the GOP (Greedy Outlaw Perverts)

- Sen. Leahy should review the Judicial Canons. Judges are to be impartial. IMPARTIALITY would be the key word here.
Definition from the Judicial Model Code. (by which judges are to be judged.)
?Impartial,? ?impartiality,? and ?impartially? mean absence of bias or prejudice in
favor of, or against, particular parties or classes of parties, as well as maintenance of an
open mind in considering issues that may come before a judge."
Why do the libs think our laws and rules were made to be broken??? - Reply to this comment

- EXCELLENT post!
Yes, the liberals always cry about others being above the law.
But they act like the law doesn't apply to themselves. They just make up laws as they go along.
Judicial impartiality? Feh! The liberals don't need that. Not when they have a politically correct Latino women trashing the Constitution.
- EXCELLENT post!
- Sessions is talking out both sides of his mouth - one side is saying the attorney general doesn't need to look into the Bush administration's actions regarding secret CIA programs or the use of warrantless wiretaps because he doesn't see any "evidence to justify prosecutions" and with the other he's saying Sotomayor is prejudiced which would mean she couldn't be objective, and that would violate the law of the land.
When a Republican administration basically suspends the Bill of Rights and the laws of the United States, that's not a problem, and he worries that Sotomayor may not follow the rules of law - what a hypocrite. - Reply to this comment

Seems like the "hypocrite" accusation works both ways.
Sotomayer is the one who wants to abandon our Constitutional principle of equal justice, preferring instead to let different judges make different decisions based on the same facts, based purely on their personal prejudices.
THAT is hypocrisy. If Sotomayer gets on the Supreme Court, every ruling will be tainted by her racist bigotry. It will be the beginning of a new dark ages.

- Hmph, The Obama Administration is the one out of control. NO TRANSPARENCY. Bills are Passed without even Reading them. Cap and Trade had 300 Pages added in the middle of the night before it was voted on and then there was no copy available for review in the house the day of the vote, But somehow it still passed......... The Administration is Spending like a Drunken Sailor. They Rushed a Stimulus Bill through with LOTS of pork saying that the Sky would fall if they didn't do it right away and less than 10% of it has been used and it hasn't helped keep unemployment down as it was intended to do. The Government is taking over Private Corporations and Apologizing to every nation that will listen. This Administration is Jimmy Carter on Steriods.

- On the contrary, she is superbly qualified. If you want a racist bigoted judge, check out the speeches of that horrid Scalia.

- The is old news, Republican flak, and cynical politics. If Americans listen to Republicans about anything, they should recall the last eight years of inept leadership by a rogue administration. That alone should set them straight on Republican philosophy. They're against everything! It is so obvious that the have decided to oppose Obama, not moderate (where most of America lies politically) and continue their mistaken thinking in spite of overwhelming evidence that their policies are harmful to America!

- Poor bitter bigot Sessions.... against anything that isn't neocon. Tip to you Mr Sessions, simply being the voice of the opposition isn't enough. You have to have a valid idea to voice first, then you open your supremacist mouth.
