Face it people,

Cheney is above the law, exactly like royal families in Gulf (Oil) states. He is absolutely untouchable. Otherwise how could he escape all these war crimes committed on his command.

The same way a Kenyian National beomces president of the US. Bye the way, why don't you provide proof of war crimes? Or is it that because you are an Obamabud there is no need for it?

Senator Sessions- He has to be a favorite of Rush's. He grew up as a republican not a american. He is for the KKK, Cheney, and torture. 3 times elected to the Senate- Alabama you can really be proud of sending this worm to represent the great state of Alabama!

Do you know that the most senior Senator in the Democratic party was once a Grand Cyclops of the KKK ? Check it out yourself, stone thrower...

Senator Byrd or West Virgina was a Grand Cyclops of the KKK before coming to the Senate. So get off your bogus name calling, you've got a REAL KKK member in the Democratic Party.

I betcha when Cheney heard of Leahy's remarks, he went all hammer-time and started dancing while singing "U Can't Touch This!".

Cheney is like the banks: So accustomed to the arrogant use of power, they believe that they are a law unto themselves.

dennisall77: Your hatred for Cheney has blinded you to anything about him that does not go along with your thinking that he is a crook. You are no longer able to be objective but your hatred rules your thinking. Have a good day as you wallow in your hatred for Cheney an/or anything Bush related. It will eat you up in the end.

"There was no evidence that the higher-ups participated in any way,"

Isn't that the Reagan Iran/Contra defense borrowed from the post WWII war crimes trials? The defense seems to be that they were only doing their jobs or that they knew nothing about it. When are people in power going to be held accountable for their decisions and actions?

The Democrats are salivating in joyful glee at the prospect of getting Cheney on something, yes, anything. They are so full of hate for this man that they cannot help themselves. They must probe and conduct endless investigations at taxpayers' expense. This will truly be a spectacle and with Holder at the helm, there will be a never ending probe to overshadow everything else by their vitriol and hate for Cheney. Is that what Obama wants? I don't think so. But apparently this is what he is getting and his health care reform may just be left in the dust.

Cheney a HERO????? WHAT A LAUGH!!!! The guy is a crook, like the Nixon he served. People kept supporting Nixon until the tapes came out and they heard what a lying, paranoid BIGOT/RACIST! Cheney will go down just like Agnew did. Remember HIM? He waas sooo adored by the hard right for being a mean, intimidating presence. He went down on tax fraud... good American. Bush Sr. would have gone down on IRAN/Contra were he not elected pres. What a gr8 record the Repugs have for slime, lies, corruption, and racism... all generated by their unbridled GREED.

"I don't know what the facts are" -- Republican Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama

That's a real confidence builder! So, WHY should we listen to anything you have to say, Jeff?

Then Sessions continues with even more stupidty, speaking of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal: "There was no evidence that the higher-ups participated in any way."

How about the fact that the exact same kinds of abuse began to take place at Abu Ghraib and at Guantanamo and at other military prisons AT THE EXACT SAME TIME? Someone "higher up" had to start that process. Could it have been Cheney? YES!

There was no evidence that the higher-ups participated in any way," Sessions replied, adding that one Abu Ghraib defendant said "there would have been hell to pay" had they known what was happening.

"It was an unusual event and the military did the right thing in prosecuting the people who were responsible," he said
--------------------------------------------

Sessions is trying to protect Cheney - his long time pal. Over the years since Abu Grahib, numerous evidence has surfaced that high administration officials not only knew of the abuses but approved them. The military folks that got caught were only the tip of the iceberg and Sessions knows this.

Time to TALK TED

investigate the ACLU and NYT

VP is a hero. They kept us safe. What is their beef ? There is politics of destruction. But selective. How insane. Meanwhile our enemies are out there. The result of interrogation was to stop many attacks, saving lives. When the FBI and the CIA could not talk to each other, due to ACLU meddling, look what happened. Shame on you folks, ACLU has American blood on their hands . The NYT published deep secrets of how we investigated the enemy. Where is the investigation of that ??
