Politics is a full contact sport. Burris took too many shots post- Blagovich. That whole sordid episode must be put behind with a new Senator from Nevada, oops, I mean Illinois.

Whatever! Your's is one way of looking at it!

I'd say he's being a realist! Unlike SO MANY Republicans in the Senate, he's not going to "mooch" at the "publics' trough" any longer!

I respect him for that! Now, if we could get some of the USELESS Republicans in the Senate to do the same thing, the public would
be better off!

You could just be right about that! But, this gives the Democrats the chance to run somebody else, who will be much more acceptable to the
public!

Clearly, Burris was involved in some type of deal and probably shouldn't have been seated to begin with, but at least it's not a problem any longer!

Now, if they could get the Republican 'dead weight' out of the Senate--- the perverts--- it would improve the chances of getting something done!

"His mausoleum", and his being called Senator for life were the first two things I thought of when I read the headline.

You nailed it, he got what he wanted.

Good news for the Dems more bad news for the GOP. Had Burris run he may have been the only incumbant Dem senator that could have been knocked off in 2010.

Good news for the Dems
-------------
Yes it is, because Dems always stand for lying, cheating, stealing, drowning girls in cars, and now buying a seat in the Senate.

And as his self-imposed punishment, Burris promises to stay only until next year in the seat HE NEVER DESERVED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

WHAT IS THIS CR@P ABOUT STAYING UNTIL NEXT YEAR IN A SEAT HE STOLE LIKE A COMMON CRIMINAL?!?!?!?

BURRIS BELONGS IN PRISON, NOT THE SENATE!!!

WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING?!?!?!?

Hey, CBS...Who is Floyd Burris?

lmao

I know, you kids caught that, but it struck me funny.

Now, if you'd have typed in Plaxico, that would have been understandable...obviously someone fillin in from the CBS Sports side.

hehehe
