Palin is a more stable individual compared to the likes of Michael Jackson and the media and the delusional have elevated him to a level of adulation that is undeserved. Now contrast that with what the media and most individuals insist on doing when it comes to Palin by trashing her and ridiculing her. The priorities of many are misguided and irrational.

She may not be the sharpest pencil in the box, but Biden is about 2 bricks short of a load also.

God doesn't give a damn about the US. If he did, he wouldn't have plagued the rest of us with republians and conservatives. Palin wasn't picked on any more than any other politician. I have yet to hear any negative comments about her grandson. So you are passing on a fabricated lie meant only to rally a base of fools that have no collective conscience what it means to be an American.

When in doubt always follow the money. Palin will soon be working the speech circuit, writing her book, and in general shoring up her bottom line. It's always about money in the end.

I'm so glad the wingnut crowd never feels the need to villify anybody.

I admit they were cruel to Chelsea Clinton but all she was called was ugly. Bristol Palin has been ridiculed by every late night "comedian" in the country and she has been called every filthy name in the book by people on these comment boards. Then there is the stupid, idiotic remarks that people on these boards have said about Sarah's little Downs Syndrome baby Trig and Bristol's baby Tripp! The treatment of Chelsea Clinton, cruel as it was, doesn't even begin to compare with how the Palin children have been treated! Even the innocent babies have been targets!

The media forced Sarah Palin to lie about her support for the bridge to nowhere.

The media forced Sarah Palin to lie about selling a plane on ebay.

The media forced Sarah Palin to lie about being fiscally conservative when she had to know that she left Wasilla in a pile of debt.

The media forced Sarah Palin to forget all but one Supreme Court case.

The media forced Sarah Palin to be unable to name any newpapers she reads regularly.

The media forced Sarah Palin's daughter to get knocked up because they knew it would make Sarah's ability as a parent to push abstinence on her daughter as suspect.

The media forced Sarah Palin to argue that she was well-versed in foreign policy because she lived close to Russia.

The media forced Sarah Palin to not know what the Bush doctrine was.

The media forces Sarah Palin to regularly toss words into a nonsensical salad to confuse intelligent people.

The media is mean.

Sarah wouldn't want to ever be the President using her logic. By her logic, she wouldn't want a second term because she'd be a lame duck. That would make her a lame duck in her first term. Since she wouldn't want to be a lame duck at all, she wouldn't want the a first term as President either.

Sarah Palin went to visit the Republican National Headquarters and the chairman greeted her:

RNC: Can I help you?

Palin: Yes, I am shopping around for some respect.

RNC: We aint't got none...how about some humility, or shame?

Palin: Naw, I want some respect.

RNC: Well, come back in 6 months, it might actually come in on the next delivery truck.

Palin: Ok, See you then.

Six Months Later, Palin strolls in again.

RNC: Can I help you?

Palin: Yes, I am shopping around for some respect.

RNC: We aint't got none...how about some humility, or shame?

Palin: Naw, I want some respect. Didn't you tell me some would be delivered in about 6 months?

RNC: I don't think you really get it, sister!

Palin: Aw come on, I quit my job for this, what do you mean?

RNC: Ok, If you are bright - spell HUM like in Humility.

Palin: H-U-M

RNC: Good, now spell sham like in shame.

Palin: S-H-A-M that was easy!

RNC: Well then spell respect like in republican party..

Palin: Hey! There is no Respect in Republican Party!

RNC: THATS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU!!! There is no Respect in Republican Party!!

I don't recall anyone harassing Carter or Clinton or Obama's kids. Do you?

You can't really be serious. I don't know about Carter, but the people and the media were absolutely CRUEL to Chelsea Clinton. They were constantly calling her ugly. Did you conveniently forget that?

And as for Obama's kids, they are still very young and are off limits. But that won't last long. It won't be much longer before the media and everybody starts going after them too.

I think the point ladypirate is that if you wish to play in the game expect back what you have given. When you look back over the last 3 decades at the way politics has been conducted and the way the Bush's won it becomes VERY clear why we have conditions as we do. From the Willie Horton Ads to the Swift Boat Ads the goal was to tar the candidate using ANY tools available. It only began to hurt when it came home to the Radical Right.

Palin: 'I am not a quitter; I am a fighter'

How did she convince herself that abandoning her elected post was not quitting? Not only did she quit, she let down all those people who voted for her as governor. She lost her moral compass on this one.

If she really was a fighter she would have stuck it out til the end of the fight. A fighter who walks away from a fight midway is called a ?

This was the person that potentially CAME close to being the Vice President of the US. It was a gift for the Democrats. Alaska has a different type of constituency, and how (and why) McCain's handlers miscalculated this so badly is amazing.
S. Palin ruled over 0.22 % of the US population, that is about 1/5th of one percent. To put her in the 2nd most powerful position in the Executive branch shows how weak minded the Republican party really is right now. It is almost as stupid a policy as the US fighting a "global war on terror" instead of handling the nation's more pressing problems.
