- Another "family values" Republican shows his true colors.
This is on of the same hypocrites who was calling for Clinton to resign over his affair.
No sympathy for this jerk. - Reply to this comment
- I agree with you in principal; however, I have a friend who did just that--the manly thing and said he wanted to leave and did just that, continuing to pay the bills at the family home. The wife refuses to let him leave saying she'll never sign divorce papers, coming to his home throwing things and physically fighting him. This is what happens when one person wants out; the other acts a fool. Another friend had the same situation when she left her husband, not for another, but because she didn't want him. Divorce, not that it should be used arbitrarily, is difficult. My best friend left her husband a year and a half ago and he is dodging the divorce papers & still refusing to sign them.

- Well said. I'm sick of all the victimizing of the wives. I'm married and fully aware that it takes two. You are so right, waking up next to Hillary--I'd say 99% of political wives are super ambitious, they are usually blue blood socialites bred to be the doting wives of powerful people. Rarely is it about love. Again, well said. It is refreshing to read your honest evaluation.

- "What in the world is a "semi-sexual" relationship?"
I think this person is referring to "not crossing over the line". I'm sure that clears things up. :) - Reply to this comment
- Wait a minute! This guy is not sorry he had an affair! He's sorry he got caught. I do not see anything refreshing about this. This man is mentally ill.

- Gee does this mean that the GOP is going from moral marriage bigots to Don Juans and Cassanovas? So much for the sacred institution of marriage...thus begs the question on whay GAY people can't get married?
After all with Newt Gingrinch, McCain, Vitter, Craig, Ensign, Spitzer, Clinton, Swaggert, Haggard, etc., etc., it is clear that the institution of marriage aint that sacred anymore... - Reply to this comment
- Yes, until the next woman comes along that he can cross the line for.

- How much more of this public humiliation and verbal abuse of his wife in public are the people of South Carolina going to take from their governor Sanford?
I cannot imagine how bad it must be in private if he says these things in public. - Reply to this comment
