Given the U.S. Supreme Court's recent track record in deciding election outcomes, Coleman had a real shot. If you're gonna play the legal card play it until the end. A few more months of waiting wouldn't have made any difference here.

Great, a comedian joining the ranks the congressional clowns. I just wish he was funny one. Williams or Crystal would have been much better. Franken isn't even in the top 100!

But I bet he'll be good for a whole lot of laughs as a US Senator.

The Senate and House rules prohibit lampooning and public charactar attacks against other senators. If he makes a joke, he has to keep it out of Senate context or face censorship.

Oh who are you kidding? The Republicans will be the party of no all the more now! They just can't vote to "no" any of the dems plans. But they will be saying "NO" more than ever now because they have no reason to work with the dems. Their so mad they won't even care to think how that attitude will effect the 2010 elections. LOL

Great. Another Socialist in the Congress. Must be why we're backing the ousted communist president of Honduras. Sad.

I really am surprised there are ANY republicons left in office. They have failed at everything and just represent the greedy and rich (just like them). Hopefully that will change at the next election. That party is obsolete and is simply bad for America.

He's good enough, he's smart enough, and doggone it... people like him!
