- Considering the approval rating (or lake of one)of congress & the senate I think he'll feel very comfortable in an environment where 75% of the people disapprove of him. How can any of those guys fail in that job. They're already viewed as failures.

- Well now !!! I will be interesting to see where the Democrats TAKE us...it's all on them now....no excuses....the party of NO as the Republicans are referred to, doesn't matter anymore.....

- I really am surprised there are ANY republicons left in office. They have failed at everything and just represent the greedy and rich (just like them). Hopefully that will change at the next election. That party is obsolete and is simply bad for America.
- Oh who are you kidding? The Republicans will be the party of no all the more now! They just can't vote to "no" any of the dems plans. But they will be saying "NO" more than ever now because they have no reason to work with the dems. Their so mad they won't even care to think how that attitude will effect the 2010 elections. LOL
- YES! It will be interesting, won't it? It's not true that the Republican
party can't have an effect---they can obstruct, if they choose to do so,
but they have to consider the consequences---the public will only get MADDER at them and they'll lose MORE seats as a result!
And so far, the Democrats are NOT living up to their campaign promises!
They're passing bills, but many of those bills ONLY protect corporate America, and don't help the public! And in some cases, they are actually EXPANDING Bush & Co.'s idiocy on certain issues!
IF they don't improve soon---by the time 2012 rolls around---most elections will be fairly evenly contested!
- Hmmmm.....Mr. Steele, Repub chairman said this....
"At the core of our democracy lies two concrete principles: No valid vote should go uncounted and all votes should be treated equally," he said in a statement. "Sadly, those principles were not adhered to during this election."
I agree, too bad we got stuck with a terrible so-called president from 2001- 2009 because this was not the case in the 2000 election. - Reply to this comment

Yeah, where was that clueless bozo Con Man when Bushoccio and his Crime Family stole two elections?
---------------------------------
Well, then it was OK with him, because RepubliNazis live on the two-rule system! One set of rules that everyone else FOLLOWS, and NO rules that they follow! Pretty simple, huh?!

- One other thing... how do you wind up winning a recount when you lost on election night? Answer: ACORN.

- How low can politics in this country go? Our newest Congressmen is a drug addled comedian who has failed at just about everything he has done in life. Now he can add the title "Senator" to his long list of failed endeavors.

- After eight MONTHS and it's finally over? It's about time!
Coleman has to be the biggest SORE LOSER in modern political history!
What a jerk! He denies the citizens of Minnesota representation for eight
months! But, that's OK because...HE'S satisfied. HE ran the campaign HE
wanted...HE had the challenge HE wanted, etc.etc...
It's too bad HE never 'gave a tinker's d*a*m*n' about the citizens of
Minnesota! HE's so selfish and self-centered he never had time!
I hope Minnesotans learned Coleman's "true colors", and never vote for
that louse again! He's part of the National Socialist group that have
taken over the Republican party and pretty much destroyed it! - Reply to this comment
- And you who wish to tax churches are not partisan whatsoever.

- Wow, you guys are extremely sore losers, aren't you?
Incidentally, the re-count was automatic by state constitution, due to the result spread; it had nothing to do with Franken.
Who knows, Franken might actually do well. Neophytes often bring a keen sense of duty with them. Franken has NO political track record at all upon which to judge him, so those who are having a hissy here are merely partisan babies. - Reply to this comment
- Serves the people of Minnesota well, a bunch of flakes represented by a flake -- in the tradition of Jesse Ventura, Paul Wellstone and Eugene McCarthy. America once again gets just what it deserves. God help us all.

- Hey Sparky, anyone looking at South Carolina right now and making a stupid statement like this should seek medical help. LOL When you look at the Kool Aid Drinkers, their Party of "Family Values" and the MAJOR HYPOCRITE leading the way in that State, the people of Minnesota have a LOT to be proud of... an AWFUL LOT!
- Minnesota you get the dubious title of "laughing stock of the nation."

- Thank you Republican Coleman. I will make a poster of you and put it in my living room right next to my poster of Republican Ex-President Bush.
You and Bush have done miracles to the Democratic Party. - Reply to this comment
- What an embarrassing disgrace. What about the people of Minnesota? They should have given the people a chance to vote again to get it right. Not have some court decide what they think is right. In the 7 months since the election was held the people of Minnesota have not had proper representation in the senate. That senate seat has been open since January. One of these guys should have conceded a long time ago out of decency.

- Hey slownewsday_05,
I do not care how our Federal Taxes is structured. As long as WE THE PEOPLE are paying within our means. If a Sales Tax in the end means a balance budget, then I am all for it.
Right now, WE THE PEOPLE are not paying within our means and this is destroying our nation-risking the security of our nation. The Republican's ideology of a smaller government means destroying our nation ability to govern itself - survive. - Reply to this comment
- Hey notblue,
I will ignore you completely. Is that better than my index finger?
Funny how you Conservative folks stick to a non-sense such as my index finger and never provide any facts why I should switch to the Republican party. - Reply to this comment

- Us' is more important than 'me'. Our nation needs Sacrifice and not more Selfishness from WE THE PEOPLE just like our grandparent sacrificed for us.

- People that think the GOP and Bush bankrupted America are as stupid as dirt. Obamas spending habit is out of control and they will see it in increases in taxes everywhere, loss of more jobs, inflation and a stagnant economy with close to zero growth as Europe has endured and Japan has endured in their lost decade.
We are now practicing the same policies that Europe is abandoning and that resulted in a 10 year and still going recession in Japan.
Obamas insanity is doing the same thing but expecting different results. This man should have never been given our credit card.
