- It doesn't matter whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, our politicians are painting as rosy a picture as possible on our economy just so they can stay in power. BOTH parties have contributed to the mess that we are currently in. Wall Street and the Fed Reserve is also to blame for putting our economy on the brink of collapse. We are no longer a manufacturing/exporting nation. We are a consumer/service based economy that will eventually collapse under the heavy weight of our trade deficit and federal deficit. Until, we as a country, get back to exporting goods and creating wealth within our own country, we are in for a VERY RUDE awakening. Time is running out. Time to start voting in politicians who have a grasp of economic principles.

- We need term limits on our politicians period. This will get rid of the party power mentality.

- Too late anti-global, foreign nations already own us economically. We buy imported goods from all over the world (especially from China and Japan) and they use our money to purchase our treasury bonds which means we OWE them TONS of money in IOUs that we can never live up to because as a country, WE ARE BROKE! When China and Japan decide to quit investing our money back into our country, we are SCREWED. Can you say GREAT DEPRESSION? It's coming my friends and we are too blind to see it.

- That bill is no victory. It was the worst ever written. Highlights include dismantling everything Made in the USA. All autos, all steel, all fuels, all go to foreign countries. The taxes are intolerable towards businesses, and consumers won't buy into it.
In fact it may save the Nation. Not because it was something the Nation needed, but because Middle America has awoken to this liberal nonsense. The November 2010 will tear down the Obama legacy of Worst President Ever, and null all the Democrat irresponsibility.
The United States of Middle America can't afford it, doesn't want it, and will "revolt and overthrow it" if this continues.
I remind you of something in Abraham Lincoln's First Inaugural Address, Monday, March 4, 1861:
This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing Government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it.

- And here I thought that congress was supposed to be there to do what the people wanted. I guess the people don't count as long as congress gets it's way. The energy bill is not what is in the best interest of the people, and if senators do the "full court press" and will punish those who vote against it, it just shows they are there for their own interests not the people's.

- Our country is doomed to fail if our policiticans do not COLLECTIVELY yank their heads out of their a$$e$ and do the right thing to move our country forward as opposed to only worrying about whether they can stay in power. At the current pace of our trade deficit, federal deficit and annual budget deficit, an economic collapse is imminent that will make the last 6 months seem like nothing. Then and ONLY then will this force Americans to re-evaluate how our government has been run for the last 20-30 years. All politicians are blind to the REAL problems this country is facing.

- I'm not so much against the president as I am against what goes on in the government. If you think politicians think about what's good for the people you are blind. They think about how they can make money during and after their terms.

- Now here you see the problem with the Confederate Party... they can't even agree if there IS a problem... even with the ICE MELTING in front of their Noses. IF we wait on these folks to protect our families and our futures it will be WAY to late. We can't wait, we must not wait. IF the President is Wrong, which I doubt, we have our OWN source for fuel and clean air. It this poor uneducated person is wrong, we are in REAL trouble... especially those who live on the coast or the Southwest.

- What's with you ditto heads? Do you enjoy having our kids die for Oil in the Middle East? Do you think it's going to last forever? Look at it from the view ANY parent should. What happens if either party is wrong. If the Dem's are wrong we end up with our own energy source AND Cleaner Air. If the Confederates are wrong we end up with some REALLY important Cities under water AND our kids riding around like the folks in China. Hummmm??? Let's see here... now which has been right in the PASS on such issues? Hummm... Yep got to go with the President on this one.
