I find it quite amusing that CBS News of all places is expressing concern for the future of the Republican Party. Since 40% of all Americans self-identify as conservative, it's quite probable that there is a fairly good selection of potential candidates out there just getting ready to knock the gutless wonders out of Congress and eventually out of the White House - we've seen Obama's true colors (yellow stripe down his back) in the past few days!

So 40% of Americans are backward. The same poll gave moderates 35% and liberals 22%. Since no moderate would ever vote for the right-wing GOP as it is now, that means 57% are not backward. The good guys win by 17 %age points!!!!

I can name 6 Repugs who have disgraced the party in the last 4 years without thinking too hard. Foley, Craig, Vitter, Ensign, Sanford and Gibbons (Giv. of NV). Clinton was the last century, was impeached after a multi-million dollar witch hunt and was found innocent. Spitzer resigned and Edwards is a persona non grata with the whole democratic party. Of the GOPigs, only Foley has even had the decency to resign. If y'all can think of any more dems, this century, doing the dirty, please keep us informed.

Perhaps but Jefferson was very smart in fact in my opinion smarter than all of our politicians today he and Maddision created the Democratic/Republicans to have not only liberals but conservatives and work together so in effect you do have two parties that is why the Democrats as they are called today has survived longer than any other party. The break away Republcians had the chance to really take the party back to what Jeffereson used to call his Republicans but they chose to exclude all but one side now they are in self-destruct mode. Will they emerge from that mode. I don't know but I think so in time not in 2 or 4 years the last time they impoled was in 1954 it took 40 years a generation.

Isn't it odd that rowdy can spit venom about Clinton, when she claimed to support Hilary and say she would continue the prosperity that Bill gave us, and that Bill would be a great asset in the White House. Isn't it interesting that she would screech about murdering babies, when she supposedly supported Hilary, who had the exact same stand on abortion as Obama (somehow she must have missed that in her exhaustive research about her preferred candidate.)
