It appears the Senator is going to put us through
another time-tested ritual of having a vacant-faced
wife standing by while he pours out his heart.

Just once,,,cant one of these politicians show
us a different approach to this scene?,,,,

I was hoping that maybe Larry would have popped out
in front of the cameras and say,,,

"Yep,!! I did 'er,, and beside me here IS THE MAN!!
I'd like you to meet GREGORY,!!!,,So what do you think??,,
Check out those shoulders,,,,,RUFF!!,,

Oh and over here is my understanding wife,,,

,,But getting back to Greg,,, would you
just cast an eye along Gregory's ,,,,"

"This has been difficult on both families," said Darlene Ensign. "With the help of our family and close friends our marriage has become stronger."

Damn, I shoulda been a politician. Never worked out like that for me.

What is it with Republicans? Do they make them all take a Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory to make sure that they are sufficiently amoral before they get the support of the GOP at the national level?

Nah, they are just trying to copy famous Dems like Clinton, JFK, and John Edwards. Maybe Spitzer could help you understand these ideas.
by salmoc44 June 16, 2009 6:47 PM EDT
Well at least he's not tap dancing in stalls like Larry Craig or wearing a diaper with prostitutes like David Vitter. He's just a plain old Republican hypocrite without the fancy perversions. A nice step-up for the old GOP.

nice double standard cbs. normally when, and they do reguarly, democrates do something like this, ie mayor kwabi( or what ever how you spell his dumazz name) from detriot, or even spitzer, etc, etc, etc, their dem. label is magically missing not only from the headline, but from the entire article. here at cbs the double standard continues. the rep. label is in the headline. and you wonder cbs why you are chasing fox. well i guess insign is going to pull a spector and change parties, considering this is what dems do best.

Would it be too much to ask for you to learn how spell and use
proper grammar / puntuation?? The point you are trying to make is
kind of dumb ..... and your delivery makes it sound even worse.
by cheekygal-2009 June 16, 2009 8:34 PM EDT
Oh dear, open mouth insert foot! PLANO-TX it is "punctuation" with a C! roflmao

Excuse me but the Democrats have never put themselves out in the public as the Party of "Family Values"! If you are going to run elections on your ability to "Restore family values" maybe you should make sure those members of that party actually HAVE values? LOL

The symbol for the GOP shouldn't be an elephant.. it should be a hippo, for Hypocrite!

Sure, Ensign is a moral hypocrite, but bear in mind that he's a David Vitter-type, not a Larry Craig-type (i.e. his transgression appears to be a heterosexual one). So, Ensign will be fine - remember Newt Gingrinch admitted cheating on both of his first 2 wives, and he's considered a front-runner for the GOP/Family Values Party in 2012. It didn't hurt Guiliani, either.

maybe it is a rule in order to become a republican in RNC, you do drugs hence Rush Limbaugh. You tap dance, Craig, who Ensign called a disgrace when he was playing around at the time, if they are not trying to get pages, they are cheating, and Vitter is the biggest hypocrite ever Newt Gingrich what a joke they should just shut there mouths and sit in a dark corner and be seen and not heard.the whole party is a disgrace

Yes, but it's because affairs make their marriages stronger ...

"This has been difficult on both families," said Darlene Ensign. "With the help of our family and close friends our marriage has become stronger."
by strangeworld June 16, 2009 6:14 PM EDT
Another member of the "party of morality, ethics, and personal responsibility" who fell by the wayside. This is precisely why I'll not vote for another republican in my lifetime...others may do the same things, but they don't spend their time in politics pointing a finger at those who do this either. The GOP is the party of hypocrisy - do as I say, not as I do - what a bunch of putz's.
