- Astute - and correct. I've retired from the Security 'industry' and can say with complete confidence that Obama cannot legitimate qualify for a Security Clearance of the type required for military application. Bill Clinton would have had his revoked as a result of his perjury conviction had he not been President. Kinda makes the entire process just another great Ponzi scheme.

I am currently in the security industry, and there is no reason that he would not be able to receive a TS/SCI or higher clearance. I am in the U.S. Army and I have personnally indoctrinated officers and enlisted personnel that have done much worse than he has done in his past. Actually clearances are more difficult to get now than they were in the past. This resulted in many instances of overlooked behavior and granting clearances to people like Jonathan Pollard. Since they are harder to get now I am beginning to doubt your credentials of being "retired from the security industry". I also noticed that you only named the last 2 Democratic Presidents (coincidence...I doubt it). - Reply to this comment

- It seems like since GWB put the generals in the field in charge the US military is no longer under civilian control.

- Obama pulled a Clinton and when along with Republicans.
This is why bipartisanship is no good for Democrats. Every time Democrats get 100% of the blame and zero pecent of the credit! - Reply to this comment
- He was elected into office by the american public, not the military.......that makes you incorrect since he supposedly is the top man in charge.

I wrote that Obama would not 'qualify' for a military security clearance, I did not say he couldn't 'get' one. Clearances are handed out as candy to politicians and elected officials.... My point exactly. - Reply to this comment

Yes. Didn't you get the email?
No? Then I guess you're out of the loop. - Reply to this comment
- In light of things, Obama is correct. We do not want to jeopardize our troops. We can still have transparency about the abuses without putting our troops in harms way. This evidence is not going anywhere and when it is time to start prosecuting the Bush Administration they have all they need to do so. I do not need to see the abuse, it speaks for itself.

AND.... What happened to the article this AM regarding the fact that the Obama administration was formally informed of the AIG bonus plan in February, only to pretend to be 'shocked' in March? OR... The article specifically stating that Pelosi was duly informed of and approved of interrogation techniques long ago?
Interesting news priorities here at CBS. Let's beat-up on Miss California - that's important! - Reply to this comment
