- Hell !!! Just think about it. Americans WILL be tortured no matter how we treat our prisoners. They hate us because we've got life so good. Because they have to struggle through life, they believe that Americans should either share their prosperity or die.

- "CIA interrogators provided top agency officials in Langley with daily "torture" updates of Abu Zubaydah, the alleged "high-level" terrorist detainee, who was held at a secret "black site" prison and waterboarded 83 times in August 2002, according to newly released court documents obtained by this reporter.
The extensive back-and-forth between CIA field operatives and agency officials in Langley likely included updates provided to senior Bush administration officials..."

- I find it very funny that now the Vice President wants to explain to the American people his views on what the intent was for torture. It is also funny how he throws under the bus Colin Powell when it was quite evident that he didn't like Powell when he was VP because he was a man with a conscious. The reason why the previous President won't say anything is because he allowed Cheney to manipulate him to agree to such illicit acts that if he said anything he probably would be looking at a some jail time. Whenever a person or entity believe that they are above the law it is time for them to face reality. Even though Americans might be tortured by rogue nations during questioned we should take the moral road not to torture. When we torture we are no different that the terrorist especially when you waterboard someone 180 times until they now decided to spill their guts. If this tool was that efficient why didn't the person talk after the first time?

- Wow! What a terrible interview. Mr. Cheney made Mr. Scheiffer look that a bush-league reporter getting his first big interview. Anyone ever heard of a thoughtful follow-up question? What about the claim by the FBI interrogator who interrogated KSM that the best intel was received BEFORE the torture began?
What a shame! I can see why Mr. Cheney chose FTN for his interview. - Reply to this comment

I am well aware that "they" scattered to Pakistan.
That would not have happened if Bush had finished the job -- if he had not contracted the coup de grace at Tora Bora to others.
But his attention was diverted. - Reply to this comment
