[Posted by hungryman9 at 1:47 PM : May 1, 2009 ]

how do you explain the harvard degree ... the harvard law degree ... editor of the harvard law review ... elected as a us senator ... comes virtually out of nowhere on the political landscape ... unseats the presumptive nominee for the dem party ... the wife a previous president ... a power center in the dem party ... to then goes on and win the us presidency ... all this and his father didn't help him at all.

seems like your assessment of him as an idiot liar is just a bit out of line w/ the reality.

maybe it's you and your delusional view of the world that explains the discrepency.

In case somebody missed the artical yesterday, Obam already knows who is going to ask the questions from the media and has the answer on his telepromter. Makes him look good. I have seen a few times when he was caught off guard and could not even answer. He would go to something else.

they were better liars ... if you think you're better served by those that lie to you ... best of luck with all that.

Your fruitcake President is the biggest liar we have ever had as President. All of them lie but he is the worst I have ever seen. Can't talk without the teleprompter. I read this morning that he has uses the teleprompter more than any other Presidents we have had. Don't try to act like he is smart.

The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of
'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day
America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. ~ Norman Thomas

If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, and give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses; And the sixteen being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they do now, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account; But be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains around the necks of our fellow sufferers; And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second, that second for a third, and so on 'til the bulk of society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering...and the forehorse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression. -- Thomas Jefferson

"This is the real reason the collectivist Left hates religion: Churches as institutions compete with the state for the people?s allegiance, and many devout people put their faith in God before their faith in the state. Knowing this, the secularists wage an ongoing war against religion, chipping away bit by bit at our nation?s Christian heritage. Dr. Ron Paul

The neocon Fascist Nazi Republicans are having a picnic with the remarks made by VP Joe Biden about the H1N1 virus.

With 2 wars to fight, unemployment reaching 9%, people losing their homes, health care costs and credit card rates out of control, Chrysler in bankruptcy and GM heading there, and corporate executives walking away with billions of taxpayer money, some remarks by Joe Biden is all these Fascists Nazis can latch onto.

I can remember the days when ex-VP Darth Vader Cheney could only talk about "TERRRRRORISTS" and "non-torture", which he still babbles about today. Then there was the former-Great Emperor Bush II who had problems putting words into an understandable sentence! And lets not forget Donald "Rummy" Rumsfeld, who brought "babbling" to an entirely new level!

As much as I hate to admit it, I miss those days of "snow job" press conferences, Rumsfeld "spinning" like a top, and the former-Great Emperor Bush II standing in front of the media drawing an absolute BLANK!!!!

HAIL OBAMA!!!

[The rest of the world is starting to realize this "monster virus" is no more aggressive or lethal than the garden variety winter flu... ]

really? why is it affecting groups that aren't normally affected by run of the mill flu ... it's usually only a big issue for older people and young children ... or those that are already weakened w/ some other issue.

maybe you missed this:

Joe Biden was right about Obama facing an international crisis in his first 6 months, it's been less than 6 months and Obama has faced several. Of course the snotty, ignorant Repugs attacked him then too. He happens to be right again this time too, if you don't -need- to travel right now and you want to avoid the increased possibility of getting sick, don't fly or take a train, it's just that simple. Of course the transportation industry doesn't want to hear this, they lose money, but you may lose your LIFE. The media has to have something to beat on or they don't get paid, this story is ridiculous. I'd rather have a VP warn us about where you are most likely to get a deadly virus than one who might accidentally shoot you in the face.

Well, at least when Joe Biden plays the fear card, it doesn't lead to a war. There's a certain entertainment factor associated with Bidenisms, which was not true of Cheney. I always have the feeling with the VP that if he hadn't been a politician, he'd frequently be at the golf course or the bar entertaining his pals with stories that morphed into tall tales.

The genie is out of the bottle. Stopping flying now will make no difference. Whatever will be will be. We face an uncertain future, but we must continue as much as normal as possible. At the moment the most virilent form appears to be in Mexico. Anyone with even the slightest possibility that they are infected with flu should telephone their doctor or their hospital for advice, and hould avoid contact with other people unless otherwise instructed.

this is the flu, not the black plague. There are only 276 confirmed cases WORLDWIDE. Treat it as you would ANY OTHER FLU. You are not going to drop dead. ]

so do you have flying plans in the next couple of days?

despite you claiming he's an idiot ... there are major corporations now issuing travel restriction guidelines to their employees ... saying exactly what biden said in his comments.

tyco and at&t are two that i know of directly.

How can someone supposedly so smart be such an absolute moron!!!!
While general precautions and preparations in case of a major outbbreak are appropriate this whole issue has been blown WAY out of proportion - and then to have the VP feed into it with hysterical nonsense is absolutely ridiculous.
Apparent he has never given a moments thought to the thousands of deaths that occur every year because of the flu in general - or is it just the fact that he saw an opportunity to get center stage in front of the american public and then just grossly mishandled it.
Obama had better put a muzzle on this guy quickly - he's nearly as scary as Cheny - he just uses different weapons to completely mislead the american public.
This outbreak of swine flu - IS EXTREMLY MINOR and actually requires little to no medical intervention.
PLEASE everybody stop listening to jerky politicans and journalists that sensationalize the situation and terrify our citizens. This is MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and NO ONE should curtail any activities throughout the USA.

Let's separate the Truth from the BS. Only reason we keep hearing about this is because money interests in the Transportation Industry have been affected. Thanx U.S. Media for the free advertising and for thrashing this point, ad nauseam, down the public's throat. We keep hearing similar laments as the "Pork Meat Industry" bemoans how the "Swine Flu" name has adversely impacted Pork Industry profits. It's just FREE money-interest propaganda advertising spewed out by the 'bought and paid for' media. It is NOT based on the facts or the Truth. The American Public Transportation Association (Millar) states above, "Buses and trains are as safe as any other public area." This statement is, ipso facto, patently false, and the U.S. Media should NOT become an instrument for spreading this false propaganda. The fact is that "public areas" that are small, confined and sealed-off, like buses, trains and planes, are infinitely more conducive to the spread of pandemic diseases than "wide open" public areas, like malls and sports stadiums. The fact is that the "Swine Flu" originated with pigs and jumped the species barrier so that the mutant strain now infects humans also. If that adversely impacts the Transportation and Pork Industries, so be it. You don't molest the Truth merely to accomodate a murderous, inhumane Pork Industry's profit concerns or to appease a dishonest Transportation Industry that cares more about profits than they care about the Truth or human health.
